Abstract
1.본 특허는 인터넷 셋톱박스(SET TOP BOX : 이하 STB라 칭함)를 이용하여 Full Screen 으로 VOD서비스를 원활하게 하기 위하여 STB의 버퍼링(Buffering) 방법과 최적의 서버운용방법을 통하여 네트워크(Network)의 트래픽(Traffic)을 줄이는 방법이다.1. This patent uses the Internet set-top box (hereinafter referred to as STB) to facilitate the VOD service with full screen through the buffering method and the optimal server operation method of STB. Description
본 발명은 대단위 APT 단지나 병원등 집단시설이 있는 곳에 Local Server를 설치하고 인터넷 TV SET TOP BOX를 이용하여 기존의 TV 또는 HDTV, 디지탈(Digital) TV를 이용하여 풀 스크린(Full Screen)으로 DVD급 고화질의 VOD(Viedo On Demand)서비스를 제공하는것이 가능하게 된다. 또한 한편의 영화를 시간차(15분 내외)를 두고 연속 스트리밍함으로써 고객의 대기 시간을 최소화하고, 고객요구 만족을 최대화할 수 있다.The present invention installs a local server where a large APT complex or a hospital has a group facility, and uses a TV set top box and an existing TV, HDTV, or digital TV. 2.버퍼링방법2.Buffering method
STB의 저장장치를 이용하여 약 5분정도의 데이터(Data)를 상시 저장하여 사용자 요구시에 이전 데이터를 다시 재생하여 볼 수 있는 backward 기능을 구현하고, 사용자가 Backward 하여 영화감상시 Background 작업으로 기존의 스트리밍을 저장하면서 사용자에게는 계속 영화를 상영하는 방법이다. 단, Forward는 처리하지 않는다.By using STB's storage device, it saves about 5 minutes of data at all times, and implements the backward function to replay previous data when users request it. 3.스트리밍 방법3.Streaming method
한편의 영화에 대해 6개 채널을 할당하여 한편의 영화를 15분간격으로 스트리밍하여 제공함으로서, 사용자의 영화선택시 상영대기시간을 최대 15분 이내로 단축하고 대기하고 있는 사용자에게, 광고송출 또는 웹서핑등을 하도록 유도하며, 상영개시 직전에 사용자에게 신호를 보내므로써 영화감상을 할 수 있도로 하는 방법이다.By allocating 6 channels for one movie and streaming one movie every 15 minutes, the user can reduce the waiting time to a maximum of 15 minutes when selecting a movie and send the advertisement or web surfing to the waiting user.
