- 광원으로부터의 광을 수신하기 위한 입력 에지를 가진 발광 패널 부재 및 상기 패널 부재로부터 원하는 광 출력 분포를 생성하기 위해 상기 패널 부재의 패널 표면상에 또는 표면내에 개별 광 추출 변형부의 가변 패턴을 포함하는 발광 패널 조립체로서, 상기 각각의 변형부는 자신에게 충돌하는 광선을 반사 혹은 굴절시키기 위해 상기 패널 표면과 교차하는 기울어진 제 1 표면 및 상기 제 1 표면과 상기 패널 표면 사이를 연장하는 제 2 표면을 구비하는 잘 한정된 형상을 포함하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 표면은 상기 패널 표면상의 상기 제 2 표면의 어떠한 투사된 표면 영역보다도 큰 상기 패널 표면상의 투사된 표면 영역을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 표면은 상기 제 1 표면에 수직인 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.

- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 상기 제 1 및 제 2 표면보다 큰 표면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 광원으로부터의 광을 수신하기 위한 입력 에지를 가진 발광 패널 부재 및 상기 패널 부재로부터 원하는 광 출력 분포를 생성하기 위해 상기 패널 부재의 패널 표면상에 또는 표면내에 개별 광 추출 변형부 패턴을 포함하는 발광 패널 조립체로서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 적어도 두 개의 표면을 가진 잘 한정된 형상을가지며, 상기 표면중 하나는 평탄하며 상기 표면중 다른 하나보다 큰 표면 영역을 가지는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 17항에 있어서, 상기 두 개의 표면은 상기 패널 표면과 교차하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 자신의 입력 에지를 통해 광을 수신하는 투명 패널 부재 및 상기 패널 부재의 하나 이상의 부분상에 또는 부분내에 개별 광 추출 변형부의 패턴을 포함하는 발광 패널 조립체로서, 상기 하나 이상의 부분은 어떠한 반사 재료도 가지지 않는 전방 및 후방 측면을 구비하여 상기 후방 측면에 인접하여 위치하는 디스플레이의 전방 조명을 위해 상기 측면들을 통해 이미지가 관측되며, 상기 변형부는 상기 패널 부재 내부로 연장하는 불연속 형상을 가지는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 19항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이는 상기 후방 측면으로부터 방출된 광을 수신하기 위해 상기 패널 부재의 상기 후방 측면에 인접하는 전면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이는 액정 디스플레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이는 신호계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 20항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 디스플레이에 가장 근접한 상기 패널 부재의 상기 후방 측면상에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 23항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 디스플레이를 전방 조명하기 위해 상기 패널 부재의 상기 후방 측면으로부터 광을 반사 및 굴절시키도록 하는 형상을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 24항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 광을 굴절시키는 하나의 표면 및 광을 반사시키는 적어도 하나의 표면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 마주하는 패널 표면과 광원으로부터의 광을 수신하는 입력 에지를 가진 발광 패널 부재 및 상기 패널 부재로부터 원하는 광 출력 분포를 생성하기 위해 상기 패널 표면중 하나상에 또는 하나내에 위치하는 개별 광 추출 변형부의 패턴을 포함하는 발광 패널 조립체로서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 상기 하나의 패널 표면에 대해 평행하게 이격하는 평탄한 표면을 가지는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 하나의 패널 표면내에 함몰부를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 하나의 패널 표면상에 돌출부를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 원형 측벽을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 평탄한 측벽을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 자신의 표면상에 충돌하는 광선을 반사 또는 굴절시키기 위해 소정 각도로 상기 평탄한 표면과 상기 하나의 패널 표면 사이를 연장하는 제 1 표면 및 상기 평탄한 표면과 상기 하나의 패널 표면 사이를 연장하는 제 2 표면을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 31항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 표면은 상기 하나의 패널 표면상의 상기 제 2 표면의 어떠한 투사된 표면 영역보다 큰 상기 하나의 패널 표면상의 투사된 표면 영역을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 31항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 표면중 적어도 일부는 평탄한 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 31항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 표면중 적어도 일부는 삼각형인 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 31항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 표면중 적어도 일부는 각진 에지를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 31항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 표면의 적어도 일부는 폭이 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 31항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 표면의 적어도 일부는 높이 또는 깊이가 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 상기 평탄한 표면의 마주하는 단부에서 평탄한 측벽을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 상기 평탄한 표면의 마주하는 단부에서 원형 측벽을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 광원에 대해 방사적으로 연장하는 행내에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 패널 부재의 폭에 대해 여러 위치에서 상기 광원과 마주하는 방향인 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 26항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 패널 부재의 길이를 따라 여러 위치에서 상기 광원과 마주하는 방향인 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 자신의 입력 에지를 통해 광을 수신하는 투명 패널 부재 및 상기 패널 부재의 하나 이상이 부분상에 또는 부분내에 개별 광 추출 변형부 패턴을 포함하는 발광 패널 조립체로서, 상기 하나 이상의 부분은 어떠한 반사 재료도 가지 않는 마주하는 측면을 구비하여 상기 마주하는 측면을 통해 광이 자유롭게 통과하며, 상기 변형부는 상기 패널 부재의 상기 입력 에지를 통해 수신된 광이 상기 하나 이상의 부분중 상기 측면중 하나에서 상기 측면중 다른 하나보다 더 많이 반사 또는 굴절되도록 하는 형상을 가지는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 패널 부재의 상기 입력 에지를 통해 수신된 광의 60% 이상이 상기 패널 부재의 상기 하나의 측면으로부터 반사 또는 굴절되도록 하는 형상을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 광의 대부분을 방출하는 상기 패널 부재의 상기 하나의 측면에 매우 인접한 전면을 가지는 디스플레이 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 45항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 수단은 액정 디스플레이인 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 45항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 수단은 신호계인 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 45항에 있어서, 상기 변형부는 상기 디스플레이 수단으로부터 반사된 광이 최소 광학적 왜곡으로 통과하는 상기 하나의 측면에 대해 평행하게 이격하는 평탄한 표면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 48항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 수단은 액정 디스플레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 49항에 있어서, 상기 광 추출 변형부의 패턴은 상기 광 추출 변형부의 이격 거리가 상기 액정 디스플레이의 화소 이격 거리와 정합하지 않도록 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 변형부중 적어도 일부는 상기 패널 부재의 상기 하나의 측면으로부터 방출된 광을 산란시키기 위한 원형 측벽을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 광 추출 변형부는 형상이 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 광 추출 변형부는 크기가 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 광 추출 변형부는 여러 각도 방향을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 광 추출 변형부는 이격 거리가 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
- 제 43항에 있어서, 상기 광 추출 변형부는 기울기가 변하는 반사/굴절 표면을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 패널 조립체.
