Claims (14)
- 액정셀을 포함하는 투과형 액정 디스플레이 패널;상기 액정 디스플레이 패널의 하나 이상의 면에 배치되고 점등/소등할 수 있는 하나 이상의 조명장치;가장 근접한 액정셀 기판(substrate)과의 굴절율 차이가 0.20 이하인 접착 층을 통해 액정 디스플레이 패널의 배면측(시인측 반대쪽)에 결합된, 가장 근접한 액정셀 기판과의 굴절율 차이가 0.15 이하인 광로 변환 시이트; 및광로 변환 시이트의 배면측에 배치된 반사 층을 포함하되,상기 광로 변환 시이트가 광로 변환 사면 및 평탄면을 갖고, 각각의 광로 변환 사면이 광로 변환 시이트의 평면에 대해 30 내지 48°의 경사각으로 조명장치에 대향하고 상기 조명장치로부터 액정 디스플레이 패널의 시인측 방향으로 입사광을 반사시키기 위해 제공되고, 상기 평탄면이 각각 시이트 평면에 대해 10°이하의 경사각으로 경사져 상기 시이트 평면의 평탄면의 투영면적이 시이트 평면의 광로 변환 사면의 투영면적의 10배 이상이 되는,반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,액정 디스플레이 패널이 액정셀의 한쪽면 또는 각각의 면에 배치된 편광판을 추가로 포함하는 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,액정 디스플레이 패널이 액정셀과 편광판 사이에 배치된 하나 이상의 위상차이판(phase retarder)을 추가로 포함하는 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,액정셀의 셀 기판이 각각 광학 등방성(isotropic) 물질로 제조된 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,광로 변환 시이트가, 조명장치가 배치된 면에 대해 30°이하의 각으로 경사진 능선을 형성하는 광로 변환 사면을 포함하는 광로 변환 시이트로서 제공되고; 상기 광로 변환 시이트의 광로-변환-사면-형성면이 배면측(시인측 반대쪽)에 위치되도록 상기 광로 변환 시이트가 배치된, 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,접착 층과 가장 근접한 액정셀 기판 사이 및 광로 변환 시이트와 가장 근접한 액정셀 기판 사이의 굴절율 차이가 0.10 이하인 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,광로 변환 시이트가 시이트 평면에 대해 35 내지 46°의 경사각으로 경사진 광로 변환 사면을 갖는 반복된 프리즘(prismatic) 구조를 포함하는 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,광로 변환 시이트의 프리즘 구조가 각각 단면이 실질적으로 삼각형인 오목부로 이루어진 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,프리즘 형태의 오목부가, 조명장치가 배치된 액정 디스플레이 패널의 면에 평행하거나 또는 경사진 능선 방향에서 광로 변환 시이트의 하나의 말단부로부터 다른 말단부로 연장되는 연속적인 홈으로 이루어진, 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,프리즘 형태의 오목부가 불연속 홈으로 이루어지고, 그 홈의 길이가 깊이의 5배 이상이고 종방향이 조명장치가 배치된 액정 디스플레이 패널의 면과 실질적으로 평행한, 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,반사 층에 의한 반사광을 확산시켜 액정셀에 입사되도록 하는 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,적어도 반사 층, 광로 변환 시이트, 또는 액정 디스플레이 패널에 반사 층을 결합시키기 위한 접착 층이 광 확산 특성을 나타내는 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,광 확산 형태의 반사 층이 미세 프리즘 구조의 거친 표면 및 상기 거친 표면에 배치된 고반사율의 금속 박막을 갖거나, 광 확산 층이 고반사율의 금속 박막의 광로-변환-시이트-면에 배치된 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,고반사율의 금속 박막의 반사 층이 광로 변환 시이트의 광로-변환-사면-형성면, 거칠게 된 광로-변환-사면-형성면, 또는 광 확산 형태의 광로 변환 시이트의 광로-변환-사면-형성면에 제공되거나,고반사율의 금속 박막의 반사 층이 광로 변환 시이트의 광로-변환-사면-형성면에제공되고,광로 변환 시이트가 광 확산 형태의 접착 층을 통해 결합되는, 반사형-투과형 겸용 액정 디스플레이 장치.
