Description
Claims (13)
- 대응 노드(a correspondent node)와 이동 노드(a mobile node) 사이에 QoS 세션(a quality of service session)을 설정하는 방법-상기 이동 노드는 홈 네트워크 내에 홈 어드레스를 갖고 있으며, 외래 네트워크 내의 전교(轉交)(care-of) 어드레스에 일시적으로 접속됨-에 있어서,상기 외래 네트워크 내에서 상기 이동 노드의 전교 어드레스의 소스 어드레스와 상기 대응 노드의 목적지 어드레스(a destination address)를 구비하는 수정된 응답 메시지(a modified reply message)를 발생시키는 단계와,상기 수정된 응답 메시지를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 홈 네트워크 내에서, 상기 대응 노드의 소스 어드레스와 상기 이동 노드의 홈 어드레스의 목적지 어드레스를 구비하는 요청 메시지를 수신하는 단계와,상기 요청 메시지의 상기 목적지 어드레스를 상기 이동 노드의 전교 어드레스로 대체함으로써 수정된 요청 메시지를 생성하는 단계와,상기 수정된 요청 메시지를 상기 외래 네트워크로 전송하되, 상기 응답 메시지는 상기 수정된 요청 메시지에 응답하여 발생하는 단계를 더 포함하는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 1 또는 2 항에 있어서,상기 홈 네트워크 내에서 상기 수정된 응답 메시지를 수신하는 단계와,상기 소스 어드레스를 상기 이동 노드의 홈 어드레스로 대체함으로써 재수정된 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계와,상기 재수정된 응답 메시지를 전송하는 단계를 더 포함하는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 1 내지 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 수정된 응답 메시지 발생 단계는 상기 이동 노드에 의해 수행되는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 수정된 응답 메시지 발생 단계는상기 이동 노드의 홈 어드레스의 소스 어드레스와 상기 대응 노드의 목적지 어드레스를 갖는 응답 메시지를 발생시키는 단계와,상기 소스 어드레스를 상기 이동 노드의 전교 어드레스로 대체하여 상기 수정된 응답 메시지를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 1 내지 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 수정된 응답 메시지 발생 단계는 상기 이동 노드와 연관된 상기 외래 네트워크 내에 있는 프록시 수단(proxy means)에 의해 수행되는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,제 6 항이 제 2 항을 인용하는 경우,상기 프록시 수단에서 상기 수정된 요청 메시지를 수신함에 응답하여, 상기 이동 노드로 QoS 지시 신호를 전달하여, 상기 수정된 응답 메시지가 상기 이동 노드로부터의 QoS 승인(acknowledgement)의 수신에 응답하여 발생하는 단계를 더 포함하는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 3 내지 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 대응 노드는 상기 요청 메시지를 발생시키고 상기 재수정된 응답 메시지를 수신하는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- 제 3 내지 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 대응 노드는 대응 프록시 수단과 연관되며, 상기 대응 프록시 수단은 상기 대응 노드로부터의 QoS 요청에 응답하여 상기 요청 메시지를 발생시키고, 상기 대응 프록시 수단은 상기 재수정된 응답 메시지의 수신에 응답하여 QoS 확인(confirmation)을 발생시키는 QoS 세션 설정 방법.
- QoS 세션을 지원할 수 있는 이동 IP 환경에 있어서, 상기 환경은 대응 노드와 이동 노드를 포함하고, 상기 이동 노드는 홈 네트워크 내에 홈 어드레스를 구비하며 외래 네트워크 내의 전교 어드레스에서 일시적으로 접속되며, 상기 외래 네트워크는 상기 이동 노드와 연관하여 상기 이동 노드의 전교 어드레스의 소스 어드레스와 상기 대응 노드의 목적지 어드레스를 갖는 수정된 응답 메시지를 발생시키는 수단을 구비하는 이동 IP 환경.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 수단은 상기 이동 노드 내에 제공되는 이동 IP 환경.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 수단은 상기 이동 노드와는 별도로 제공되는 이동 IP환경.
- 제 1 내지 9 항에 있어서,상기 QoS 세션은 RSVP 세션이고, 상기 요청 메시지는 경로 메시지(a Path message)이며, 상기 응답 메시지는 예약 메시지(a Reservation message)인 QoS 세션 설정 방법 및 이동 IP 환경.
