Claims (2)
- 입력되는 비디오 신호를 블록 단위로 변환 및 양자화를 수행하는 변환 및 양자화부;버퍼의 넘침 현상이 발생될 가능성을 판단하여 이러한 가능성이 있을 경우, 일부 계수를 버리라는 계수 제거 신호와 몇 개의 계수를 구체적으로 전송할 것인가를 요구하는 전송 계수 요구 신호를 출력하는 시스템 제어부;상기 계수 제거 신호와 전송 계수 요구 신호를 수신하면 해당 개수의 계수만을 블록 단위로 직류(DC) 성분에서부터 전송할 수 있도록 다중화 제어 신호를 발생하는 다중화 제어부; 및상기 다중화 제어 신호에 따라 상기 변환 및 양자화부의 출력중 해당 개수의 양자화 계수를 전송하고 나머지는 제로(0) 값을 전송하는 다중화부를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적 양자화 계수 전송 장치.
- 동영상 전문가 그룹(MPEG) 비디오 부호화 방식을 이용하는 영상 압축 시스템에 적용되는 선택적 양자화 계수 전송 방법에 있어서,입력되는 비디오 신호를 블록 단위로 변환 및 양자화하면서 버퍼의 넘침 현상이 발생될 가능성을 판단하는 제 1 단계;상기 판단 결과, 버퍼의 넘침 가능성이 있으면 상기 블록 단위로 양자화된 계수에서 고주파 성분을 제외한 소정개의 계수를 전송할 것을 요구하는 제 2 단계;블록내에서 직류(DC) 위치에서부터 요구된 소정개의 양자화 계수를 전송하고 나머지 계수들은 전송하지 않고 제로(0) 값을 전송하는 제 3 단계; 및상기 판단 결과, 버퍼의 넘침 가능성이 없으면 상기 블록 단위로 양자화된 계수를 모두 전송하는 제 4 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적 양자화 전송 방법.
