Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising capryloyl salicylic acid; a surfactant including at least one selected from the group consisting of PEG-based surfactants and polyglyceryl-based surfactants; and a polyol; wherein the cosmetic composition has an excellent stabilizing effect of capryloyl salicylic acid and improved formulation stability, skin exfoliation, and skin wrinkle improvement effects.

Description

{COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR STABILIZING CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID}

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition stabilizing capryloyl salicylic acid.

Capryloyl Salicylic Acid is a lipophilic derivative of salicylic acid and corresponds to LHA (Lipo Hydroxy Acid). Capryloyl Salicylic Acid has similar effects to salicylic acid but is more stable than salicylic acid, and various attempts are being made to apply it to cosmetic compositions.

Meanwhile, capryloyl salicylic acid is an ester of salicylic acid and caprylic acid, and is a lipophilic derivative containing a carbon chain consisting of 8 carbon atoms, and has low solubility in water. Accordingly, when manufacturing a cosmetic composition using capryloyl salicylic acid, there was a problem that capryloyl salicylic acid was not properly dissolved, was easily precipitated, and the formulation was separated, and due to this, there was a problem that it was difficult to apply it to cosmetic compositions of various formulations.

However, to date, various attempts to stabilize salicylic acid, such as in Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2019-0060649, have been made continuously, but the development of a cosmetic composition in which capryloyl salicylic acid, a derivative thereof, is stabilized, is minimal.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition in which capryloyl salicylic acid is stabilized, which has excellent formulation stability under various temperature conditions such as room temperature, high temperature, and low temperature, and at the same time has improved skin exfoliation and wrinkle improvement effects.

The purpose of the present invention is not limited to the technical problem described above, and another technical problem can be derived from the following description.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a cosmetic composition that stabilizes capryloyl salicylic acid, comprising: a surfactant including at least one selected from the group consisting of PEG-based surfactants and polyglyceryl-based surfactants; and a polyol.

The above cosmetic composition may contain 0.001 to 3 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid, 0.1 to 15 wt% of the surfactant, and 1 to 50 wt% of the polyol, based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition.

The above cosmetic composition may contain the capryloyl salicylic acid and the surfactant in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 1000.

The above PEG-based surfactant may include at least one selected from the group consisting of PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Octyldodeceth-16, and C12-14 Pareth-12.

The above-mentioned PEG-based surfactant may include Octyldodeceth-16 and C12-14 Pareth-12.

The above polyglyceryl surfactant may include at least one selected from the group consisting of polyglyceryl-10 oleate and polyglyceryl-10 stearate.

The above polyol may include at least one selected from the group consisting of glycerin, propanediol, 2,3-butanediol, dipropylene glycol, glycereth-26, butylene glycol, and methylpropanediol.

The above cosmetic composition may be for removing skin exfoliation.

The above cosmetic composition may be for improving skin wrinkles.

The above cosmetic composition may be a transparent cosmetic composition.

The cosmetic composition of the present invention can stabilize capryloyl salicylic acid. In particular, the cosmetic composition of the present invention has an excellent stabilizing effect of capryloyl salicylic acid, so that it can stably maintain a transparent formulation even under various temperature conditions, while simultaneously implementing an excellent skin exfoliation effect and skin wrinkle improvement effect.

Below, with reference to the attached drawings, embodiments of the present invention are described in detail so that those with ordinary skill in the art can easily practice the present invention. However, the present invention may be implemented in various different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. In addition, in order to clearly describe the present invention in the drawings, parts that are not related to the description are omitted.

Terms or words used in the specification and claims of the present invention are not to be construed as limited to their usual or dictionary meanings, and should be interpreted as meanings and concepts that conform to the technical idea of the present invention, based on the principle that the inventor can appropriately define the concept of the term in order to explain his or her own invention in the best manner.

Throughout the specification of the present invention, when a part is said to "include" a certain component, this does not exclude other components, but rather means that other components may be included, unless otherwise specifically stated.

The present invention provides a cosmetic composition stabilizing capryloyl salicylic acid.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a cosmetic composition is provided that stabilizes capryloyl salicylic acid, comprising: capryloyl salicylic acid; a surfactant including at least one selected from the group consisting of PEG-based surfactants and polyglyceryl-based surfactants; and a polyol.

The cosmetic composition of the present example stabilizes capryloyl salicylic acid, and can stably maintain a transparent formulation even under various temperature conditions, while exhibiting excellent skin exfoliation and wrinkle improvement effects.

Below, we will describe in detail the components of the cosmetic composition.

The cosmetic composition of the present example comprises capryloyl salicylic acid.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains capryloyl salicylic acid, and by stabilizing it within the formulation, an excellent skin exfoliation effect and skin wrinkle improvement effect can be realized.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain 0.001 to 3 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid, specifically 0.002 to 2 wt%, and more specifically 0.004 to 1 wt%, based on the total weight. In particular, when the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains 0.004 to 1 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid based on the total weight, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment can effectively stabilize the capryloyl salicylic acid, thereby realizing excellent formulation stability, skin exfoliation, and skin wrinkle improvement effects.

If the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains less than 0.001 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid based on the total weight, the degree of improvement in the skin exfoliation effect and skin wrinkle improvement effect may be minimal compared to when the composition contains 0.001 to 3 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid. On the other hand, if the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains more than 3 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid based on the total weight, skin irritation may increase and capryloyl salicylic acid may not be stabilized, compared to when the composition contains 0.001 to 3 wt% of the capryloyl salicylic acid, so that the formulation stability and skin improvement effect of the cosmetic composition may be deteriorated.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains a surfactant.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment includes a surfactant, and the surfactant may include at least one selected from the group consisting of a PEG-based surfactant and a polyglyceryl-based surfactant.

The above PEG-based surfactant may include at least one selected from the group consisting of PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Octyldodeceth-16, and C12-14 Pareth-12. In addition, the polyglyceryl-based surfactant may include at least one selected from the group consisting of polyglyceryl-10 Oleate and polyglyceryl-10 Stearate.

In particular, the surfactant of the present embodiment may be a PEG-based surfactant, in which case, improved formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect can be realized by stabilization of capryloyl salicylic acid.

Specifically, the surfactant of the present embodiment includes a PEG-based surfactant, wherein the PEG-based surfactant may include octyldodeceth-16 and C12-14 Pareth-12. In this case, the formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect can be improved by stabilization of capryloyl salicylic acid compared to a case where neither octyldodeceth-16 nor C12-14 Pareth-12 is included.

More specifically, the surfactant of the present embodiment includes a PEG-based surfactant, wherein the PEG-based surfactant may include Octyldodeceth-16 and C12-14 Pareth-12 in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 10, and in this case, the stabilization of capryloyl salicylic acid, formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect can be further improved.

Most specifically, the surfactant of the present embodiment includes a PEG-based surfactant, wherein the PEG-based surfactant may include Octyldodeceth-16 and C12-14 Pareth-12 in a weight ratio of 1:5 to 10, and in this case, the stabilization of capryloyl salicylic acid, formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect may be significantly excellent.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain the surfactant in an amount of 0.1 to 15 wt%, specifically 0.1 to 14 wt%, and more specifically 0.1 to 11 wt%, based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. In particular, when the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains the surfactant in an amount of 0.1 to 11 wt% based on the total weight, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may stabilize capryloyl salicylic acid, thereby realizing excellent formulation stability, skin exfoliation, and skin wrinkle improvement effects.

If the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains less than 0.1 wt% of the surfactant based on the total weight, it may be difficult to stabilize capryloyl salicylic acid, and thus it may be difficult to implement the formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect of the cosmetic composition. On the other hand, if the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains more than 15 wt% of the surfactant based on the total weight, the skin exfoliation effect and skin wrinkle improvement effect may be significantly reduced.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain the capryloyl salicylic acid and the surfactant in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 1000, and in this case, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may provide a cosmetic composition having excellent formulation stability, a skin exfoliation effect, and a skin wrinkle improvement effect while stabilizing the capryloyl salicylic acid.

Specifically, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain the capryloyl salicylic acid and the surfactant in a weight ratio of 1:100 to 500, and in this case, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may provide a cosmetic composition having improved formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect while stabilizing the capryloyl salicylic acid.

More specifically, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain the capryloyl salicylic acid and the surfactant in a weight ratio of 1:100 to 110, and in this case, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may provide a cosmetic composition having remarkably excellent formulation stability, skin exfoliation effect, and skin wrinkle improvement effect while stabilizing the capryloyl salicylic acid.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains a polyol.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment comprises a polyol, and the polyol may comprise any type of polyol known in the art.

Specifically, the polyol of the present embodiment may include at least one selected from the group consisting of glycerin, propanediol, 2,3-butanediol, dipropylene glycol, glycereth-26, butylene glycol, and methylpropanediol. More specifically, the polyol of the present embodiment may include, but is not limited to, methylpropanediol.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain 1 to 50 wt% of the polyol, specifically 3 to 40 wt%, and more specifically 5 to 20 wt%, based on the total weight. In particular, when the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains 5 to 20 wt% of the polyol based on the total weight, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment can stabilize capryloyl salicylic acid, thereby realizing excellent formulation stability, skin exfoliation, and skin wrinkle improvement effects.

If the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains less than 1 wt% of the polyol based on the total weight, it is difficult to stabilize capryloyl salicylic acid, and thus the overall formulation stability, skin exfoliation, and skin wrinkle improvement effects may be reduced. On the other hand, if the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains more than 50 wt% of the polyol based on the total weight, the degree of improvement in the skin exfoliation and skin wrinkle improvement effects may be minimal.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may contain a residual amount of purified water.

In addition, the cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may include a preservative. For example, the preservative may include, but is not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of pentylene glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, and 1,2-hexanediol. The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may include, but is not limited to, 1 to 4 wt% of the preservative.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment may further contain known excipients or additives in addition to the above-described ingredients.

For example, the excipients or additives may include, but are not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of emulsifiers, emulsifying agents, silicone polymers, pigments, colorants, fragrances, bactericides, antioxidants, organic solvents, softeners, antioxidants, free radical scavengers, opacifiers, stabilizers, emollients, defoamers, moisturizers, vitamins, insect repellents, preservatives, anti-inflammatory agents, fillers, polymers, propellants, alkalizers, acidifiers, colorants, thickeners, skin conditioning agents, whitening agents, antioxidants, wrinkle improving agents, and solubilizers.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment contains capryloyl salicylic acid, a surfactant, a polyol, and purified water as main components, and may be formed into any one formulation selected from the group consisting of an emollient toner, a nourishing toner, an astringent toner, a skin, a lotion, an essence, a cream, a massage cream, a pack, a makeup base, a BB cream, a foundation, a powder, a cleansing foam, a cleansing cream, and a cleansing water, together with the dermatologically acceptable excipients or additives, but is not limited thereto.

The cosmetic composition of the present embodiment can be formed into a cosmetic composition in a transparent state by stabilizing the capryloyl salicylic acid. That is, according to the present embodiment, since capryloyl salicylic acid, which had low solubility in water, is sufficiently dissolved and stabilized in the cosmetic composition, a cosmetic composition in a transparent state can be provided.

On the other hand, if the present embodiment is not followed, the capryloyl salicylic acid may not be stabilized, and a cosmetic composition in a translucent or opaque state may be formed.

Hereinafter, the cosmetic composition stabilizing capryloyl salicylic acid of the present invention will be specifically described through examples, comparative examples, and experimental examples. These examples are only intended to illustrate the present invention, and therefore, the scope of the present invention is not to be construed as being limited by these examples.

[ Manufacturing Example 1 ]

Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Examples 1 to 2

A cosmetic composition was prepared by mixing each component according to Table 1 [Unit: weight %]. In the case of capryloyl salicylic acid and surfactant, the total amount of the two components was maintained at 2.2 weight % and mixed in the same ratio as Table 2 [Unit: weight ratio].

Specifically, the cosmetic composition was prepared as follows.

1) First, add preservatives and additives to the water and heat to 80℃.

2) Cool the water to 45℃.

3) (Available) Stir capryloyl salicylic acid with the surfactant dissolved at 40 to 50°C until transparent. Maintain the temperature at 40 to 50°C during stirring.

4) Add polyol to the solution and stir until it becomes transparent.

5) After adding the available liquid to the cooled water and stirring, a cosmetic composition was prepared.

At this time, in Table 2, octyldodeceth-16 and C12-14pareth-12 were used as surfactants mixed at a weight ratio of 1:10.

[ Manufacturing Example 2 ]

Examples 5 to 7 and Comparative Examples 3 to 6

A cosmetic composition was prepared by mixing each component according to Table 3 [Unit: weight %]. In the case of the surfactant, octyldodeceth-16 and C12-14pareth-12 were mixed and used in the same ratio as Table 4 [Unit: weight ratio].

At this time, Comparative Example 3 in Table 4 refers to a case where only C12-14pareth-12 is included as a PEG-based surfactant, and Comparative Example 4 refers to a case where only octyldodeceth-16 is included as a PEG-based surfactant.

[Experimental example]

Experimental Example 1: Evaluation of stabilization of capryloyl salicylic acid

The transparency of the cosmetic compositions according to the examples and comparative examples was observed with the naked eye, and the results are shown in Table 5.

Specifically, in the case of a cosmetic composition in which capryloyl salicylic acid was stabilized, it was manufactured in a transparent state, and in the case in which capryloyl salicylic acid was not stabilized, it was manufactured in an opaque state.

As can be seen from Table 5, capryloyl salicylic acid is stabilized according to this example.

Experimental Example 2: Formulation Stability Evaluation

The cosmetic compositions of Examples and Comparative Examples were left for one month at room temperature (25°C), high temperature (45°C), low temperature (4°C), and cycle conditions (25°C → 45°C → 4°C → 25°C). The formulations were observed with the naked eye, and if no layer separation or precipitation occurred, they were evaluated as stable. If layer separation or precipitation occurred, they were evaluated as unstable.

At this time, for the cycle conditions, each temperature was maintained for one week.

As shown in Table 6, it can be seen that the cosmetic composition according to the present example stably maintains a transparent state without separation of the formulation even under conditions of room temperature, high temperature, low temperature, and cycle. That is, it means that the cosmetic composition according to the present example has an excellent stabilizing effect of capryloyl salicylic acid.

Experimental Example 3: Evaluation of skin exfoliation and wrinkle removal effects

Ten women in their 20s and 30s were tested for the effect of removing dead skin cells and improving wrinkles after using the cosmetic composition according to Example 1.

Specifically, for exfoliation, an appropriate amount of the sample (cosmetic composition) was applied to a cotton pad and rubbed on the face as if wiping it off. After wiping, the degree of exfoliation effect was evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5, and the average value of 10 subjects is shown in Table 7. At this time, when wiping the face, be sure to avoid the area around the eyes and mouth.

In addition, for wrinkle removal, the sample (cosmetic composition) was applied evenly to the skin by taking an appropriate amount on the hand after washing the face in the morning and evening for about a month, and the degree of improvement in wrinkles was evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5. The average value of 10 people is shown in Table 7.

At this time, the closer it is to 5 points, the better the exfoliation effect and wrinkle improvement effect.

The exfoliation effect and wrinkle improvement effect of Examples 2 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6 were evaluated using the same method as in Example 1, and the results are shown in Table 7.

As shown in Table 7, it can be seen that the cosmetic composition according to the present example has excellent exfoliation and wrinkle improvement effects. That is, the cosmetic composition in which capryloyl salicylic acid is stabilized according to the present example can be utilized for the purpose of exfoliation of the skin and/or wrinkle improvement of the skin.

As mentioned above, the description of the present invention is for illustrative purposes, and it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention can be easily modified into other specific forms without changing the technical idea or essential characteristics of the present invention. Therefore, it should be understood that the embodiments described above are exemplary in all respects and not restrictive. For example, each component described as a single component may be implemented in a distributed manner, and likewise, components described as distributed may be implemented in a combined form.
