Claims (17)
- 전기화학 전지로서,
적어도 하나의 금속 호일 시트를 포함하고, 상기 전기화학 전지의 적어도 일부 주위로 연장되는 둘레를 갖는 얇은 금속 호일 패키징;
상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징에 본딩된 전기화학 전지 스택; 및
상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징의 상기 둘레의 적어도 일부 주위에 위치하는 금속간 용접 밀봉부(metal-to-metal welded seal)를 포함하며,
상기 적어도 하나의 금속 호일 시트는, 전기화학 전지 스택의 전극과 전기적으로 접촉하고,
상기 금속간 용접 밀봉부(metal-to-metal welded seal)는, 상기 전기화학 전지 스택으로부터 1mm 미만으로 이격되어 있고,
상기 금속간 용접 밀봉부(metal-to-metal welded seal)는 레이저 용접에 의해 형성되는,
전기화학 전지. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전기화학 전지는 1mm 미만의 전지 두께를 갖는, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 금속간 용접 밀봉부는 기밀형(hermetic)인, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 금속간 용접 밀봉부는 1mm 미만의 폭을 갖는, 전기화학 전지.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징의 상기 적어도 하나의 금속 호일 시트는 50마이크로미터 미만의 두께를 갖는, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징의 상기 적어도 하나의 금속 호일 시트는 Al, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ta, Au, Pd, Ti, 스테인리스 스틸, 및 이들의 합금으로 이루어지는 그룹 중에서 선택된 적어도 하나의 금속으로 형성된, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전기화학 전지는 리튬계 전기화학 전지인, 전기화학 전지.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 리튬계 전기화학 전지는 재충전가능한, 전기화학 전지.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 전기화학 전지는 리튬-이온 전기화학 전지이며 재충전가능한, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 금속간 용접 밀봉부는 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징의 상기 둘레의 적어도 25% 주위에 위치하는, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징은 외부 집전체이고, 상기 전기화학 전지 스택은, 내부 집전체, 내부 전극, 제1 다공성 세퍼레이터와 제2 다공성 세퍼레이터, 제1 외부 전극과 제2 외부 전극, 및 전해질을 포함하고, 상기 내부 전극은 상기 내부 집전체에 전기적으로 접속되거나 전기적으로 접촉하고, 상기 제1 및 제2 다공성 세퍼레이터는 상기 내부 전극에 인접하며 상기 내부 전극의 대응하는 반대측들 상에 있으며, 상기 제1 외부 전극은 상기 제1 다공성 세퍼레이터의 상기 내부 전극과는 반대측 상에 위치설정되고, 상기 제1 외부 전극은, 또한, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징에 인접하고 전기적으로 접속되거나 전기적으로 접촉하며, 상기 제2 외부 전극은 상기 제2 다공성 세퍼레이터의 상기 내부 전극과는 반대측 상에 위치설정되고, 상기 제2 외부 전극은, 또한, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징에 인접하고 전기적으로 접속되거나 전기적으로 접촉하며, 상기 전해질은 상기 내부 전극, 상기 제1 및 제2 외부 전극, 및 상기 제1 및 제2 다공성 세퍼레이터 내에 분산된, 전기화학 전지.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 내부 집전체는 양극성 집전체이고, 상기 내부 전극은 양극이고, 상기 제1 및 제2 외부 전극은 모두 음극이고, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징은 외부 음극성 집전체인, 전기화학 전지.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 내부 집전체는 음극성 집전체이고, 상기 내부 전극은 음극이고, 상기 제1 및 제2 외부 전극은 모두 양극이고, 상기 얇은 금속 호일 패키징은 외부 양극성 집전체인, 전기화학 전지.
- 제1항의 전기화학 전지 스택을 제조하는 방법으로서,
상기 레이저 용접 기술에 의해 상기 금속간 용접 밀봉부를 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 방법. - 삭제
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 레이저 용접은 적어도 초당 0.1 미터(m/s)의 스캔 속도로 수행되는, 방법.
