Claims (12)
- 코팅 조성물을 제조하는 방법으로서,
상기 방법에서 유기실란-작용화된 콜로이드 실리카를 포함하는 수성상이 개시제 및 보호성 콜로이드의 존재 하에 하나 이상의 단량체를 포함하는 유기상과 혼합되고, 하나 이상의 단량체의 중합이 발생하여 수성 중합체성 분산액을 형성하도록 조건이 유지되며,
(i) 수성 중합체성 분산액은 중합체 입자의 표면 상에 보호성 콜로이드를 갖는 중합체 입자를 포함하며;
(ii) 유기실란-작용화된 콜로이드 실리카는 적어도 하나의 표면-결합된 유기실란 모이어티를 갖는 콜로이드 실리카 입자를 포함하고;
(iii) 개시제는 물에서 적어도 부분적으로 가용성인, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
하기 조건:
i) 적어도 하나의 단량체는 알케닐 카르복실레이트로부터 선택됨;
ii) 보호성 콜로이드는 70 내지 100 몰% 범위의 가수분해도(degree of hydrolysis)를 갖는, 사포닌화된 또는 부분적으로 사포닌화된 폴리비닐 알코올임;
iii) 유기실란 모이어티는, 선택적으로 하이드록실, 티올, 카르복실, 에스테르, 에폭시, 아실옥시, 케톤, 알데하이드, (메트)아크릴록시 및 아미노기로부터 선택되는 적어도 하나의 기를 포함하는 친수성 모이어티임;
iv) 개시제는 무기 퍼옥사이드, 유기 퍼옥사이드, 퍼옥시디카르보네이트 및 아조 화합물로부터 선택됨
중 하나 이상이 적용되는, 방법. - 제2항에 있어서,
하기 조건:
i) 2개 이상의 단량체가 존재하며, 적어도 하나의 단량체는 알케닐 카르복실레이트이고, 적어도 하나의 단량체는 다른 알케닐 카르복실레이트 또는 올레핀임;
ii) 유기실란 모이어티는 에폭시기 또는 적어도 하나의 하이드록실기를 포함함
중 하나 이상이 적용되는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
하기 조건:
i) 코팅 조성물의 실리카 함량은 상기 코팅 조성물이 건조되기 전에 0.01 내지 5 중량% 범위임;
ii) 보호성 콜로이드와 단량체 합의 총량을 기준으로, 보호성 콜로이드의 양은 1 내지 30 중량% 범위임;
iii) 수성 중합체 분산액 또는 에멀젼 및/또는 비건조된 코팅 조성물 내 중합체의 양은 20 내지 80 중량% 범위임;
iv) 수성 중합체 분산액 또는 에멀젼 내 중합체의 Tg는 -25℃ 내지 +45℃ 범위임;
v) 비건조된 코팅 조성물의 VOC 함량은 5000 ppm 미만임;
vi) 수성 중합체 분산액 또는 에멀젼 내 중합체 입자 또는 액적의 부피-기초 입자 크기 중앙값은 1.5 μm 미만임
중 하나 이상이 적용되는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
(i) 중합체는 비닐 아세테이트 호모중합체, 또는 비닐 아세테이트-에틸렌 공중합체이고; 및/또는
(ii) 유기실란 모이어티는 3-글리시딜옥시프로필 실란인, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 방법에 의해 제조되는, 코팅 조성물.
- 제6항에 따른 코팅 조성물로부터 제조된 코팅의 방오성(stain resistance)을 개선하기 위해 유기실란-작용화된 콜로이드 실리카 입자를 사용하는 방법으로서,
상기 유기실란-작용화된 콜로이드 실리카 입자는 적어도 하나의 표면-결합된 유기실란 모이어티를 포함하는, 방법. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 유기실란 모이어티는 친수성이며, 선택적으로 하이드록실, 티올, 카르복실, 에스테르, 에폭시, 아실옥시, 케톤, 알데하이드, (메트)아크릴록시 및 아미노기로부터 선택되는 적어도 하나의 기를 포함하는, 방법. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 코팅은 중합체성 결합제를 포함하는, 방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 중합체성 결합제는 적어도 하나의 알케닐 카르복실레이트 단량체로부터 제조되고, 선택적으로 또한 보호성 콜로이드를 포함하는, 방법. - 삭제
