- 제1 부화소 영역, 제2 부화소 영역 및 제3 부화소 영역을 포함하는 하부 기판;
상기 하부 기판 상에 배치된 액정층; 및
상기 액정층 상에 상기 하부 기판과 대향되도록 배치된 컬러 필터 기판;을 포함하며,
상기 컬러 필터 기판은,
상기 하부 기판에 대향하는 상부 기판;
상기 상부 기판의 상기 하부 기판에 대향하는 면 상에 배치된 전극 패턴;
상기 전극 패턴 상에 상기 제1 부화소 영역에 대응되도록 배치되며 제1 양자막대 및 액정을 포함하는 제1 광 변환부;
상기 전극 패턴 상에 상기 제2 부화소 영역에 대응되도록 배치되며 제2 양자 막대 및 액정을 포함하는 제2 광 변환부; 및
상기 전극 패턴 상에 상기 제3 부화소 영역에 대응되도록 배치되며 이방성 물질 및 액정을 포함하는 제3 광 변환부;를 포함하며,
상기 하부 기판의 상기 컬러 필터 기판에 대향하는 면의 반대면 상에 배치된 편광자를 더 포함하며, 상기 편광자는 상기 컬러 필터 기판에는 배치되지 않는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제1 항에 있어서,
상기 컬러 필터 기판은,
상기 상부 기판 상에 상기 전극 패턴의 적어도 일부를 덮도록 배치된 배향막;
상기 전극 패턴 상의 상기 제1 광 변환부와 상기 제2 광 변환부의 사이 및 상기 제2 광 변환부와 상기 제3 광 변환층의 사이에 배치된 격벽들; 및
상기 제1 광 변환부, 상기 제2 광 변환부, 상기 제3 광 변환부 및 상기 격벽들을 덮는 평탄화층;을 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제1 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 양자 막대 및 상기 제2 양자 막대는 단축 및/또는 장축 방향의 길이가 서로 다르며, 상기 제1 양자 막대 및 상기 제2 양자 막대의 장축은 소정의 방향으로 정렬되어 있는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제3 항에 있어서,
상기 액정은 상기 제1 양자 막대, 상기 제2 양자 막대 및 상기 이방성 물질이 정렬된 방향과 실질적으로 동일한 방향으로 정렬되고,
상기 제1 광 변환부, 상기 제2 광 변환부 및 상기 제3 광 변환부는 상기 제1 양자 막대, 상기 제2 양자 막대, 상기 이방성 물질 및 상기 액정의 정렬 상태를 유지시키는 고분자 화합물을 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제3 항에 있어서,
상기 편광자의 편광축은 상기 제1 양자 막대, 상기 제2 양자 막대 및 상기 이방성 물질의 정렬 방향과 실질적으로 수직인, 액정 표시 장치. - 제1 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 부화소 영역, 상기 제2 부화소 영역 및 상기 제3 부화소 영역은 각각 적색광, 녹색광 및 청색광을 방출하는 적색 부화소 영역, 녹색 부화소 영역 및 청색 부화소 영역인, 액정 표시 장치. - 제6 항에 있어서,
상기 하부 기판의 상기 컬러 필터 기판에 대향하는 면의 반대면 상에 배치되며, 상기 하부 기판에 청색광을 조사하는 백라이트 유닛을 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치. - 삭제
- 제1 항에 있어서,
상기 상부 기판과 상기 전극 패턴 사이에 적어도 상기 제1 광 변환부 및 상기 제2 광 변환부에 대응되도록 배치된 노치 필터를 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제9 항에 있어서,
상기 노치 필터는 청색광을 차단하며 상기 제3 광 변환부에 대응되는 영역에는 배치되지 않는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제9 항에 있어서,
상기 노치 필터는 자외광을 차단하며, 상기 제1 광 변환부, 상기 제2 광 변환부 및 상기 제3 광 변환부 상에 배치된, 액정 표시 장치. - 제1 항에 있어서,
상기 컬러 필터 기판과 상기 액정층 사이에 배치된 공통 전극을 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치. - 제2 항에 있어서,
상기 배향막은 상기 격벽들에 의해 서로 분리되며 상기 제1 부화소 영역, 상기 제2 부화소 영역 및 상기 제3 부화소 영역에 각각 배치된 복수의 패턴들을 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치. - 컬러 필터 기판을 형성하는 단계;
상기 컬러 필터 기판에 대향하도록 하부 기판을 배치한 후, 상기 하부 기판 및 상기 컬러 필터 기판을 합착하는 단계; 및
상기 하부 기판과 상기 컬러 필터 기판 사이에 액정을 주입함으로써 액정층을 형성하는 단계;를 포함하며,
상기 컬러 필터 기판을 형성하는 단계는,
제1 부화소 영역, 제2 부화소 영역 및 제3 부화소 영역을 포함하는 상부 기판 상에 전극 패턴을 형성하는 단계;
상기 전극 패턴 상의 제1 부화소 영역, 상기 제2 부화소 영역 및 상기 제3 부화소 영역에 각각 제1 양자 막대 및 액정을 포함하는 제1 물질, 제2 양자 막대 및 상기 액정을 포함하는 제2 물질, 및 이방성 물질 및 상기 액정을 포함하는 제3 물질을 형성하는 단계; 및
상기 전극 패턴에 전압을 인가함으로써, 상기 액정, 상기 이방성 물질, 상기 제1 양자 막대 및 상기 제2 양자 막대의 장축을 소정의 방향으로 정렬시킴으로써 제1 광 변환부, 제2 광 변환부 및 제3 광 변환부를 형성하는 단계;를 포함하며,
상기 하부 기판의 상기 컬러 필터 기판에 대향하는 면의 반대면 상에 편광자를 배치하는 단계를 더 포함하며, 상기 편광자는 상기 컬러 필터 기판에는 배치하지 않는,액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 제14 항에 있어서,
상기 전극 패턴을 형성하는 단계 후에,
상기 상부 기판 상에, 상기 전극 패턴의 적어도 일부를 덮는 배향막 및 상기 제1 부화소 영역, 상기 제2 부화소 영역 및 상기 제3 부화소 영역을 정의하는 격벽들을 형성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 제15 항에 있어서,
상기 배향막을 형성하는 단계는,
상기 상부 기판 상에 상기 전극 패턴을 덮도록 상기 배향막을 구성하는 물질을 코팅하는 단계; 및
상기 배향막을 구성하는 물질을 정렬시킴으로써 상기 배향막을 형성하는 단계;를 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 제14 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 물질, 제2 물질 및 제3 물질을 형성하는 단계는,
상기 제1 양자 막대, 상기 액정 및 단량체(monomer)를 포함하는 상기 제1 물질, 상기 제2 양자 막대, 상기 액정 및 상기 단량체를 포함하는 상기 제2 물질, 및 상기 이방성 물질, 상기 액정 및 상기 단량체를 포함하는 상기 제3 물질을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 제17 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 광 변환부, 상기 제2 광 변환부, 및 상기 제3 광 변환부를 형성하는 단계는,
상기 전극 패턴에 전압을 인가하여 상기 제1 양자 막대, 상기 제2 양자 막대, 이방성 물질 및 상기 액정을 정렬하는 단계; 및
상기 제1 물질, 상기 제2 물질 및 상기 제3 물질에 광을 조사하거나 열을 가하여, 상기 단량체를 상기 제1 양자 막대, 상기 제2 양자 막대, 상기 이방성 물질 및 상기 액정의 정렬 상태를 유지시키는 고분자 화합물로 중합시키는 단계;를 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 삭제
- 제14 항에 있어서,
상기 전극 패턴을 형성하는 단계 전에, 상기 상부 기판 상의 적어도 상기 제1 부화소 영역 및 상기 제2 부화소 영역에 노치 필터를 형성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
