Abstract
본 발명에 따른 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터는 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드를 포함하고, 상기 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드는 N-이소프로필아크릴아미드 단량체와 물의 중량비가 87:13 ~ 95:5 이고, 상기 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드가 물의 흡수량에 의해 구동이 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
Description
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 제조된 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터의 두께에 따른 구동력을 측정한 결과를 나타낸 것이다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터가 연질의 물체를 잡을 수 있는 소프트 로봇에 적용되었을 때의 이미지를 실시간으로 나타낸 것이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 물 감응성 소프트엑추에이터가 상처(wound)를 봉합할 수 있는 소프트 로봇에 적용되었을 때의 이미지를 실시간으로 나타낸 것이다.
그랩(Grab) 소프트 로봇에 적용하기 위하여 1 N의 구동력을 가지는 4개의 서로 다른 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터를 제작하였다. 상기 구동력은 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터 (두께 2 mm, 폭 15 mm, 높이 20 mm)가 5 %의 광개시제를 함유하였을 때 생성되었고, 원하는 연질(soft)의 물질을 잡기 위하여 제작된 4개의 서로 다른 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터는 UV 광중합을 통하여 십자형태로 합쳐졌고, 이는 4 N의 구동력을 가지는 그랩 소프트 로봇으로 최종적으로 제작되었다.
봉합 소프트 로봇에 적용하기 위하여 0.06 N의 구동력을 가지는 3개의 서로 다른 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터를 제작하였다. 상기 구동력은 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터 (길이 10 mm, 폭 4 mm, 두께 1 mm)가 0.5 %의 광개시제를 함유하였을 때 생성되었고, wound gap (10 mm × 60 mm)을 효율적으로 봉합하기 위하여 제작된 3개의 서로 다른 물 감응성 소프트 엑추에이터 wound gap에 40 mm 간격으로 부착되었다.
Claims (11)
- 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드를 포함하며 제1 형상을 가지는 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법으로,
(a) 상기 소프트 엑추에이터의 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드에 물을 흡수시킨 후 외력을 가하여 제1 형상에서 제2 형상으로 변형시키는 단계;
(b) 상기 제2 형상으로 변형된 소프트 엑추에이터의 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드에 포함된 물의 소정량을 방출하여 제2 형상으로 유지시키는 단계;
(c) 제2 형상으로 유지된 소프트 엑추에이터에 물을 흡수시켜 제1 형상으로 회복되도록 하는 단계;를 포함하고,
상기 (c) 단계에서 제1 형상으로 회복되는 과정에 구동이 이루어지는, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리이소프로필아크릴아미드는 N-이소프로필아크릴아미드 단량체와 물의 중량비가 87:13 ~ 95:5 인, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법.

상기 소프트 엑추에이터는 영의 계수(Young's modlus)가 1 MPa 이상인, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법.

상기 소프트 엑추에이터는, 0.05 내지 5 %의 물 흡수와 방출을 통해 구동되는, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 소프트 엑추에이터는, 104 ~ 106 J/m3의 에너지 밀도를 가지는, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 소프트 엑추에이터는, 0.01 ~ 5 N의 구동력(actuation force)을 가지는, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 소프트 엑추에이터는, 0.01 ~ 5 s-1의 구동 속도를 가지는, 소프트 엑추에이터의 구동방법. - 삭제
