Abstract
Description
도 1 은 다양한 pH 및 경화 색상을 갖는 본 출원에 따른 경화된 결합제 조성물로 코팅된 예시적인 유리섬유 시트 스트립을 도시한다.
도 2 는 결합제의 pH 가 증가함에 따라 예시적인 결합제 조성물에 대한 색상 L*a*b* 좌표를 그래프로 도시한다.
도 3 은 다양한 몰 당량 비의 카르복실산 기/히드록실 기 및 장쇄 폴리올/단쇄 폴리올을 갖는 예시적인 경화된 결합제 조성물로 제조된 유리섬유 절연에 대한 굽힘 스트레스/중량/LOI 를 그래프로 도시한다.
도 4 는 다양한 몰 당량 비의 카르복실산 기/히드록실 기 및 장쇄 폴리올/단쇄 폴리올을 갖는 예시적인 경화된 결합제 조성물로 제조된 유리섬유 절연에 대한 색상 b* 값을 그래프로 도시한다.

도 16 은 종래의 전분-하이브리드 결합제 조성물 및 페놀 우레아 포름알데히드계 결합제 조성물과 비교하여, 본 출원에 따른 다양한 결합제 조성물을 사용하여 형성된, 공장 시험 보드 제품의 압축 강도를 그래프로 도시한다.
도 17 은 종래의 전분-하이브리드 결합제 조성물 및 페놀 우레아 포름알데히드계 결합제 조성물과 비교하여, 본 출원에 따른 다양한 결합제 조성물을 사용하여 형성된 공장 시험 보드 제품의 파단시 결합 강도를 그래프로 도시한다.
Claims (32)
- 하기를 포함하는 수성 결합제 조성물:
적어도 2 개의 히드록실 기 및 적어도 2,000 달톤의 수 평균 분자량을 갖는 적어도 하나의 장쇄 폴리올;
수성 결합제 조성물의 총 고체 함량을 기준으로 적어도 63 중량% 의 적어도 2 개의 카르복실산 기를 포함하는 가교제; 및
적어도 2 개의 히드록실 기 및 2,000 달톤 미만의 수 평균 분자량을 갖는 단쇄 폴리올; 및
촉매,
상기 결합제 조성물은 5 내지 9 의 경화 후 pH 를 가지며 L*a*b* 좌표를 사용하여 45 미만의 b* 색상 값을 달성함. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 가교제가 중합체성 폴리카르복실산인 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 가교제가 수성 결합제 조성물의 총 고체 함량을 기준으로, 65 중량% 내지 85 중량% 의 양으로 결합제 조성물에 존재하는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 가교제가 수성 결합제 조성물의 총 고체 함량을 기준으로, 70 중량% 내지 80 중량% 의 양으로 결합제 조성물에 존재하는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 장쇄 폴리올이 폴리비닐 알코올 및 폴리비닐 아세테이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 장쇄 폴리올이 수성 결합제 조성물의 총 고체 함량을 기준으로, 5 중량% 내지 30 중량% 의 양으로 결합제 조성물에 존재하는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 단쇄 폴리올이 당 알코올, 2,2-비스(메틸올)프로피온산, 트리(메틸올)프로판 및 단쇄 알칸올아민 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 단쇄 폴리올이 글리세롤, 에리트리톨, 아라비톨, 자일리톨, 소르비톨, 말티톨, 만니톨, 이디톨, 이소말티톨, 락티톨, 셀로비톨, 팔라티니톨, 말토트리톨, 이들의 시럽 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 당 알코올을 포함하는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 단쇄 폴리올이 수성 결합제 조성물의 총 고체 함량을 기준으로, 3 중량% 내지 30 중량% 의 양으로 결합제 조성물에 존재하는 수성 결합제 조성물.
- 하기를 포함하는 절연 제품:
다수의 랜덤하게 배향된 섬유; 및
상기 섬유를 적어도 부분적으로 코팅하는 수성 결합제 조성물, 상기 결합제 조성물은 하기를 포함함:
적어도 2 개의 히드록실 기 및 적어도 2,000 달톤의 수 평균 분자량을 갖는 적어도 하나의 장쇄 폴리올;
수성 결합제 조성물의 총 고체 함량을 기준으로 적어도 63 중량% 의 적어도 2 개의 카르복실산 기를 포함하는 가교제; 및
적어도 2 개의 히드록실 기 및 2,000 달톤 미만의 수 평균 분자량을 갖는 단쇄 폴리올; 및
촉매,
상기 결합제 조성물은 5 내지 9 의 경화 후 pH 를 가지며 L*a*b* 좌표를 사용하여 45 미만의 b* 색상 값을 달성함. - 제 10 항에 있어서, 섬유가 미네랄 섬유, 천연 섬유 및 합성 섬유 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 절연 제품.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 섬유가 유리 섬유, 미네랄 울 섬유 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 절연 제품.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 절연 제품의 경화 후 두께가 1 인치이고 밀도가 6 lbs/ft3 인 경우, 상기 절연 제품이 적어도 40 psi 의 굴곡 탄성률을 갖는 절연 제품.

- 제 10 항에 있어서, 결합제 조성물 중의 카르복실산 기 대 히드록실 기의 몰 당량의 비가 1/0.05 내지 1.0/5.0 인 절연 제품.
- 하기 단계를 포함하는, 포름알데히드-무함유 결합제 조성물을 사용하여 형성된 절연 제품에서의 색상 제어 방법:
하기를 포함하는 포름알데히드-무함유 결합제 조성물을 제조하는 단계:
적어도 2 개의 히드록실 기 및 적어도 2,000 달톤의 수 평균 분자량을 갖는 적어도 하나의 장쇄 폴리올;

L*a*b* 좌표를 사용하여 45 미만의 b* 색상 값 및 5 내지 9 의 경화된 결합제 pH 를 달성하기 위해 상기 결합제 조성물을 경화시키는 단계. - 제 16 항에 있어서, 상기 가교제가 중합체성 폴리카르복실산인 절연 제품에서의 색상 제어 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서, 카르복실산 기 대 히드록실 기의 몰 당량의 비가 1/0.05 내지 1.0/5.0 인 절연 제품에서의 색상 제어 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서, 상기 장쇄 폴리올이 폴리비닐 알코올 및 폴리비닐 아세테이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 절연 제품에서의 색상 제어 방법.
