Claims (20)
- 입력된 광을 복수개의 경로로 분기하여 비주기적으로 배열된 복수의 출력단으로 출력하는 것으로, 것으로, 입력된 광을 포화 이진 트리(full binary tree) 구조로 M(M은 1 이상의 정수)번 분기하는 형태의 광경로를 제공하며, 2M-1개의 분기점을 가지며, 2M 개의 상기 출력단을 가지는 광도파로;
상기 복수의 분기점들에 각각 배치되어, 입력된 광을 두 갈래로 분기하는 복수의 스플리터(splitter);
상기 복수개의 경로에 배치되며, 적어도 2이상이 서로 다른 위상 지연 길이를 가지는 복수의 위상 지연자들; 및
상기 복수의 위상 지연자들에 같은 신호를 인가하는 신호 입력부;를 포함하며,
상기 복수의 스플리터 각각에 의해 형성되는 두 갈래의 분기 중 어느 하나에만, 상기 위상 지연자가 배치되는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 위상 지연자들 각각의 위상 지연 길이는,
상기 복수의 출력단 중 어느 하나를 향하는 경로상에 놓인 위상 지연자들에 의한 위상 지연 길이의 총합이 상기 복수의 출력단의 비주기적 배열 및 출력광의 스티어링 각도에 따른 위상 조건을 만족하도록 정해지는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 삭제

첫번째 분기점에 놓인 스플리터에 의한 두 분기 중 어느 하나에 놓인 위상 지연자의 위상 지연 길이는 Ln(n=2M-1+1)인, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 위상 지연자는 입력 신호에 따라 상기 광도파로의 소정 영역의 굴절률을 변화시켜 상기 소정 영역을 지나는 광의 위상을 지연시키는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 위상 지연자는 전기적으로 히팅되어 상기 소정 영역을 가열하는 히터(heater)를 포함하는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제10항에 있어서,
상기 히터의 상기 광경로 방향으로의 길이는 상기 위상 지연자의 위상 지연 길이에 비례하는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 위상 지연자는 상기 소정 영역의 캐리어 농도를 변화시키기 위해 상기 소정 영역의 양단에 전압을 인가하는 두 전극을 포함하는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제12항에 있어서,
상기 두 전극 중 어느 한 전극의 상기 광경로 방향으로의 길이는 상기 위상 지연자의 위상 지연 길이에 비례하는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광도파로의 입력단에 배치되어 입력된 광신호를 증폭하는 제1 광증폭기; 및
상기 복수의 출력단 각각과 M번째 분기를 수행하는 스플리터들 사이에 마련되어, 광신호를 증폭하여 상기 복수의 출력단 각각으로 전달하는 제2 광증폭기;를 더 포함하는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광도파로를 향해 광을 출사하는 광원;을 더 포함하는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 제15항에 있어서,
상기 광원, 상기 광도파로, 상기 복수의 위상 지연자들은 하나의 실리콘 기판에 집적되게 형성되는, 빔 스티어링 소자. - 광원;
상기 광원으로부터의 광을 소정 각도로 스티어링하여 출력하는 제1항의 빔 스티어링 소자;
상기 빔 스티어링 소자에서 출력되고 대상체에서 반사된 광을 수신하는 수신기; 및
상기 광원, 상기 빔스티어링 소자 및 상기 수신기를 제어하는 제어부;를 포함하는, 라이다(LiDAR) 장치. - 삭제

상기 광원, 상기 빔 스티어링 소자, 상기 수신기는 하나의 실리콘 기판에 집적되게 형성되는, 라이다 장치.
