도 2는 본 발명에 따른 제주 국제공항 계기착륙시설을 활용한 윈드시어 예측방법을 설명하기 위한 제주 국제공항 활주로 및 활공각 정보를 나타내는 표.
도 3은 본 발명에 따른 제주 국제공항 계기착륙시설을 활용한 윈드시어 예측방법을 설명하기 위한 저층 윈드시어 예측과 관측자료 비교(07A 활주로 방향)를 나타내는 그래프.

- 고해상도 수치모델의 예측자료에서 공항 착륙경로를 따라 고도 100ft 단위로 예측 바람자료를 추출하는 단계(S10)와, 상기 예측 바람자료를 사용해서 윈드시어를 계산하는 단계(S20)를 포함하는 제주 국제공항 계기착륙시설을 활용한 윈드시어 예측방법에 있어서,
상기 S10 단계의 고해상도 수치모델에서 착륙경로를 따라 예측 바람자료를 추출하는 것은, 고해상도 수치모델에서 활주로말단과 근접한 격자점을 찾는 단계와, 활주로말단과 근접한 격자점을 기준으로 활주로 방위각을 따라 예측 바람자료를 추출하는 단계와, 추출된 예측 바람자료를 활공각을 따라 내삽해서 착륙경로의 바람을 추출하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 S20 단계에서 윈드시어 계산은 "Manual on Low-Level Wind Shear(ICAO, 2005)"에서 명시한 고도 100ft 당 바람 크기 변화를 사용하며 아래 식 1을 따르는 것을 특징으로 하는 제주 국제공항 계기착륙시설을 활용한 윈드시어 예측방법.

u와 v는 각각 서풍과 남풍을 뜻하며 h는 고도를 나타낸다. 아래첨자 A와 B는 고도가 다른 두 지점을 뜻하고, 속도 성분의 단위는 knot를, 길이 성분의 단위는 feet를 사용한 것이다.
