Claims (20)
- 공급 모듈과 해제 가능하게 결합된 프린트헤드 카트리지를 포함하는 프린트 모듈로서, 상기 공급 모듈은:
전력 및 데이터를 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 프린트헤드에 공급하기 위한 전자 회로망을 수용하는 본체; 및
상기 본체의 대향되는 외부 측벽들에 배치되고, 상기 본체의 측면을 구성하는 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 잉크 배출구 모듈로서, 상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈의 각각은 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 상보적인 유입구 및 배출구 커플링과 결합된 각각의 잉크 커플링을 가지는 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 잉크 배출구 모듈을 포함하고,
상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈 각각은 상기 공급 모듈이 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지에 유체적으로 커플링되는 커플링 위치와 상기 공급 모듈이 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지로부터 유체적으로 디커플링되는 디커플링 위치 사이에서 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 향해서 그리고 그로부터 멀리, 상기 본체의 대향된 외부 측별들에 대해서 활주 가능하게 이동될 수 잇는 프린트 모듈. - 제1항에 있어서,

상기 잉크 유입구 모듈은 잉크 저장용기로부터 잉크를 수용하기 위한 유입구 포트를 가지며, 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈은 상기 잉크 저장용기로 잉크를 복귀시키기 위한 배출구 포트를 가지는 프린트 모듈. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈은:
상기 프린트헤드 카트리지 내의 잉크 압력을 제어하기 위한 제어 밸브;
잉크 압력 센서;
상기 잉크 압력 센서로부터 피드백을 수신하고 상기 제어 밸브를 제어하기 위한 제어기;
공기 유입구;
상기 공기 유입구에 연결된 공기 밸브;
정지 밸브;
유동 제한부; 및
잉크 압력 요동을 감쇠시키기 위한 컴플라이언스;로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 독립적으로 선택되는 하나 이상의 구성요소를 수용하는 프린트 모듈. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전자 회로망은 하나 이상의 인쇄회로기판을 포함하고, 상기 인쇄회로기판은:
상기 프린트헤드 카트리지에 의해서 지지된 프린트헤드로 프린트 데이터를 공급하기 위한 마이크로프로세서; 및
상기 프린트헤드 카트리지에 의해서 지지된 프린트헤드에 전력을 공급하기 위한 구동 트랜지스터, 중 적어도 하나를 가지는 프린트 모듈. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 공급 모듈은 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지 상의 상보적인 전기 콘택과의 전기적 연결을 위한 전기 콘택을 포함하는 프린트 모듈. - 제1항에 따른 복수의 프린트 모듈를 포함하는 모듈형 프린터로서, 각각의 프린트 모듈이 공통 잉크 저장용기에 연결되는 모듈형 프린터.
- 교체 가능 프린트헤드 카트리지를 위한 공급 모듈로서:
전력 및 데이터를 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 프린트헤드에 공급하기 위한 전자 회로망을 수용하는 본체; 및
상기 본체의 대향되는 외부 측벽들에 배치되고 상기 본체의 측면을 구성하는 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 잉크 배출구 모듈로서, 상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈의 각각은 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 상보적인 유입구 및 배출구 커플링과 결합된 각각의 잉크 커플링을 가지는, 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 잉크 배출구 모듈을 포함하고,
상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈 각각은, 상기 공급 모듈이 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지에 유체적으로 커플링되는 커플링 위치와 상기 공급 모듈이 상기 프린트헤드로부터 유체적으로 디커플링되는 디커플링 위치 사이에서, 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 향해서 그리고 그로부터 멀리, 상기 본체의 대향된 외부 측벽들에 대해서 활주 가능하게 이동될 수 있는 공급 모듈. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 공급 모듈은 상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈의 활주 이동 방향에 대해서 수직으로 연장되는 하나 이상의 위치결정 핀을 포함하고, 각각의 위치결정 핀은 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 각각의 정렬 개구부 내에 수용될 수 있는 공급 모듈. - 제12항에 있어서,
상기 위치결정 핀이 클램프 판으로부터 연장되고, 상기 공급 모듈은, 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 상기 클램프 판에 대해서 클램핑하기 위한 이동 가능 클램프를 더 포함하는 공급 모듈. - 프린트헤드 카트리지와 공급 모듈을 커플링시키는 방법으로서, 상기 공급 모듈은 전력 및 데이터 신호를 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지에 공급하기 위한 전자 회로망을 수용하는 본체; 및 상기 본체의 외부 대향 측벽들 상에 배치되고 상기 본체의 측면을 구성하는 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 잉크 배출구 모듈을 포함하고, 상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈의 각각은 각각의 잉크 커플링을 가지는, 방법으로서:
상기 공급 모듈의 상기 잉크 유입구 커플링 및 상기 잉크 배출구 커플링이 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 각각의 단부에 위치된 상보적인 유입구 커플링 및 배출구 커플링과 정렬되도록, 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 상기 공급 모듈에 대해서 배치하는 단계;
상기 잉크 유입구 모듈의 잉크 커플링을 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 상보적인 유입구 커플링과 결합시키도록, 상기 잉크 유입구 모듈을 상기 본체의 하나의 외부 측벽에 대해서 활주시키는 단계; 및
상기 잉크 배출구 모듈의 잉크 커플링을 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지의 상보적인 배출구 커플링과 결합시키도록, 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈을 상기 본체의 대향 외부 측벽에 대해서 활주시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법. - 제14항에 있어서,
상기 배치하는 단계는, 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지 내의 정렬 개구부가 상기 공급 모듈로부터 연장되는 위치결정 핀을 활주 가능하게 수용하도록, 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 상기 공급 모듈을 향해서 이동시키는 것을 포함하고, 상기 위치결정 핀은 상기 잉크 유입구 모듈 및 상기 잉크 배출구 모듈의 활주 방향에 수직인 방향으로 연장되는 방법. - 제15항에 있어서,
상기 프린트헤드 카트리지에 대해서 클램프를 이동시키고 상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 클램프 판에 대해서 클램핑시키는 단계를 더 포함하고, 상기 위치결정 핀은 상기 클램프 판으로부터 연장되는 방법. - 제16항에 있어서,
상기 프린트헤드 카트리지를 정렬된 위치에서 고정하기 위해서, 상기 클램프를 상기 위치결정 핀에 대해서 체결하는 단계를 더 포함하는 방법. - 삭제
