- 하기 화학식 1-1 내지 하기 화학식 1-6으로 표현되는 액정 분자 중 적어도 하나 및 하기 화학식 2-1 내지 하기 화학식 2-6으로 표현되는 액정 분자 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 액정 조성물:

상기 화학식 1-1 내지 상기 화학식 1-6으로 표현되는 액정 분자 중 적어도 하나 및 상기 화학식 2-1 내지 상기 화학식 2-6으로 표현되는 액정 분자 중 적어도 하나는 전체 조성물에서 1wt% 내지 20wt%의 범위를 갖는 액정 조성물. - 제1 기판,
상기 제1 기판 위에 위치하고, 서로 절연막을 사이에 두고 위치하는 제1 전극 및 제2 전극,
상기 제1 기판과 마주보는 제2 기판 그리고
상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 위치하는 액정층을 포함하고,
상기 액정층은 하기 화학식 1-1 내지 하기 화학식 1-6으로 표현되는 액정 분자 중 적어도 하나 및 하기 화학식 2-1 내지 하기 화학식 2-6으로 표현되는 액정 분자 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 액정 표시 장치:

상기 절연막은 상기 제1 전극 위에 위치하고, 상기 제2 전극은 상기 절연막 위에 위치하고,
상기 제1 전극은 통판 모양을 갖고, 상기 제2 전극은 복수의 가지 전극을 포함하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제13항에서,
상기 복수의 가지 전극은 상기 통판 모양의 제1 전극과 중첩하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제14항에서,
상기 제2 전극은 상기 절연막을 관통하는 접촉 구멍에 의해 박막 트랜지스터와 연결되는 액정 표시 장치. - 제15항에서,
상기 액정층에 포함되는 액정 분자들은 상기 액정층에 전계 미인가시에 상기 가지 전극과 나란한 방향으로 기울어져 있는 액정 표시 장치. - 제16항에서,
상기 제2 전극 위에 위치하는 배향막을 더 포함하고, 상기 배향막은 상기 가지 전극과 나란한 방향으로 러빙되어 있는 액정 표시 장치. - 제16항에서,
상기 액정 분자들은 상기 액정층에 전계 인가시에 전계에 수평한 방향으로 기울어지는 액정 표시 장치. - 제13항에서,
상기 제1 전극은 단위 화소와 대응하는 부분에서 통판 모양을 갖는 액정 표시 장치.
