도 1a는 본 발명의 일 실시양태의 디스플레이 장치의 개략도이다;
도 1b는 도 1a의 디스플레이 장치의 디스플레이 패널의 개략도이다;
도 1c는 도 1b 중의 A-A선을 따라 취한 개략적 단면도이다;
도 2는 브랜치 전극과 제1 방향에 의해 형성된 y 각과 디스플레이 패널의 ppi 값(x) 사이의 관계를 도시하는 개략도이다; 또
도 3은 본 발명의 다른 실시양태의 화소의 개략도이다.
Claims (9)
- 제1 기판;
제2 기판; 및
상기 제1 기판 및 제2 기판 사이에 배치되는 화소 어레이를 포함하고,
상기 화소 어레이는, 화소 전극 및 상기 화소 전극에 인접하게 배치되고, 제2 기판과 면하는 상기 제1 기판의 측면 위에 배치되는 데이터 라인을 포함하고,
상기 화소 전극은 제1 트렁크 전극 및 복수의 브랜치 전극을 포함하고, 제1 방향을 따른 제1 트렁크 전극의 연장부는 데이터 라인과 교차하고, 제1 트렁크 전극은 브랜치 전극에 연결되며, 브랜치 전극은 제2 방향을 따라 연장되고,
제1 방향과 제2 방향에 의해 y 각이 형성되고, x는 디스플레이 패널의 ppi 의 값이며, x 및 y는 하기 방정식
을 만족하는, 디스플레이 패널. - 제1항에 있어서, 브랜치 전극의 적어도 하나는 제3 방향을 따라 연장되는 굴곡부를 갖고, z 각은 제3 방향과 제1 방향에 의해 형성되며, z 각은 45°초과 70°이하인 디스플레이 패널.
- 제1항에 있어서, 브랜치 전극의 적어도 하나는 곡선 형상을 갖고, z 각은 곡선 형상의 적어도 탄젠트 라인과 제1 방향에 의해 형성되고, z 각은 45°초과 70°이하인 디스플레이 패널.
- 디스플레이 패널을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치로서,
상기 디스플레이 패널은, 제1 기판, 제2 기판, 및 제1 기판 및 제2 기판 사이에 배치되는 화소 어레이를 포함하며,
상기 화소 어레이는, 화소 전극 및 화소 전극에 인접하게 배치되고, 제2 기판과 면하는 제1 기판의 측면 위에 배치되는 데이터 라인을 포함하고,
상기 화소 전극은 제1 트렁크 전극 및 복수의 브랜치 전극을 포함하고, 제1 방향을 따른 제1 트렁크 전극의 연장부는 데이터 라인과 교차하며, 제1 트렁크 전극은 브랜치 전극에 연결되며, 브랜치 전극은 제2 방향을 따라 연장되며,
제1 방향과 제2 방향에 의해 y 각이 형성되고, x는 디스플레이 패널의 ppi 의 값이며, x 및 y는 하기 방정식

를 만족하는 디스플레이 장치. - 제5항에 있어서, 브랜치 전극의 적어도 하나는 제3 방향을 따라 연장되는 굴곡부를 갖고, z 각은 제3 방향과 제1 방향에 의해 형성되며, z 각은 45°초과 70°이하인 디스플레이 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 브랜치 전극의 적어도 하나는 곡선 형상을 갖고, z 각은 곡선 형상의 적어도 탄젠트 라인과 제1 방향에 의해 형성되고, z 각은 45°초과 70°이하인 디스플레이 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, z는 y 보다 크고, z 각은 55°초과 70°이하인 디스플레이 장치.
