도 4는 본 발명에 따른 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치에 적용되는 다양한 신호들의 파형을 나타낸 예시도.
도 5는 본 발명에 따른 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치의 패널의 구성을 개략적으로 나타낸 예시도.

Claims (6)
- 데이터 라인들과 게이트 라인들의 교차 영역들에 픽셀들이 구비되어 있으며, 상기 픽셀들 각각에는 픽셀전극이 형성되어 있는 패널;
상기 게이트 라인들에 순차적으로 스캔펄스를 공급하는 게이트 드라이버;
상기 데이터 라인들로 데이터 전압들을 공급하는 데이터 드라이버; 및
상기 게이트 드라이버와 상기 데이터 드라이버의 구동 타이밍을 제어하는 타이밍 컨트롤러를 포함하고,
제m게이트 라인, 제m+1게이트 라인, 제n데이터 라인 및 제n+1데이터 라인으로 둘러 쌓인 픽셀영역에 형성되는 두 개의 픽셀전극들 각각은, 상기 제n데이터 라인과 전기적으로 연결되어 있고, 상기 제n데이터 라인과 상기 제n+1데이터 라인에 모두 인접되어 있으며(m 및 n은 자연수),
상기 두 개의 픽셀들은 ‘’형태 또는 '/' 형태 또는 '\' 형태로 형성되는 라인을 따라 서로 이격되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 DRD(Double Rate Driving)(이하, DRD라 함) 방식을 이용한 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 두 개의 픽셀전극들 중 제1픽셀전극은 상기 제m게이트 라인과 전기적으로 연결되어 있으며, 상기 두 개의 픽셀전극들 중 제2픽셀전극은 상기 제m+1게이트 라인과 전기적으로 연결되어 있는 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 두 개의 픽셀전극들 중 제1픽셀전극은, 상기 픽셀영역의 좌측상단부에서 상기 제n데이터 라인 및 상기 제m게이트 라인과 전기적으로 연결되어 있으며,
상기 두 개의 픽셀전극들 중 제2픽셀전극은, 상기 픽셀영역의 좌측하단부에서 상기 제n데이터 라인 및 상기 제m+1게이트 라인과 전기적으로 연결되어 있는 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 데이터 드라이버는, 1프레임기간 동안, 인접되어 있는 상기 데이터 라인들로 서로 다른 극성의 데이터 전압들을 공급하며, 적어도 1프레임기간 마다, 상기 데이터 전압들의 극성을 반전시키는 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 두 개의 픽셀전극들 중 제1픽셀전극과 상기 제n데이터 라인 및 상기 제n+1데이터 라인 간의 기생캐패시턴스는, 상기 두 개의 픽셀전극들 중 제2픽셀전극과 상기 제n데이터 라인 및 상기 제n+1데이터 라인 간의 기생캐패시턴스와 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 두 개의 픽셀들은, 상기 제n데이터 라인 방향으로부터 상기 제n+1데이터 라인 방향으로 서로 이격되어 있는 DRD 방식을 이용한 표시장치.
