Claims (16)
- 적어도 하나의 압밀 복합재(consolidated composite)를 포함하는 내탄도성 물품(ballistic resistant article)으로서,
상기 적어도 하나의 압밀 복합재가 적어도 두 개의 층을 포함하고,
각 층이 섬유들의 망상구조를 포함하며,
상기 섬유가 ASTM D 7269-07에 따라 적어도 800mN/tex(1,100MPa)의 강도를 갖고,
각 층의 상기 섬유가 매트릭스 물질로 함침되고,
상기 각각의 압밀 복합재가 전면(front surface)과 후면(rear surface)을 가지며,
상기 각각의 압밀 복합재의 적어도 상기 전면을, 부분 용융되고 고화된 분말 입자들로 분말 피복시켜 분말 피복된 표면을 형성함을 특징으로 하는, 적어도 하나의 압밀 복합재를 포함하는 내탄도성 물품. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 부분 용융되고 고화된 분말 입자가 상기 분말 피복된 표면 상에 해도형(island in the sea) 피복 패턴을 형성하는, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 내탄도성 물품이 2 내지 100개의 압밀 복합재를 포함하는, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 압밀 복합재가 2 내지 10개의 층으로 이루어진, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 각 층에 의해 포함된 섬유들의 망상구조가 직포 또는 부직포인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 부직포가 단방향으로 정렬된 섬유 층인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 섬유가 아라미드 섬유인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스 물질이 유기 중합체를 포함하고, 상기 중합체가 스티렌 이소프렌 스티렌 블록공중합체, 스티렌 부타디엔 랜덤 공중합체, 자가-가교결합성 아크릴 중합체, 가교결합 가능한 아크릴 중합체, 자가-가교결합성 아크릴 중합체와 가교결합 가능한 아크릴 중합체의 조합물, 또는 폴리클로로프렌 중합체인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 각 층 및 상기 각 압밀 복합재 중의 매트릭스 물질 함량이, 습기 없는 섬유의 중량에 대해, 5wt% 내지 30wt%의 범위이고, 상기 각 압밀 복합재의 면 밀도(areal density)가 50g/㎡ 내지 500g/㎡의 범위인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 분말 입자가 열가소성 중합체로 이루어지고, 상기 열가소성 중합체가 저밀도 폴리에틸렌(LDPE), 선형 저밀도 폴리에틸렌(LLDPE), 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(HDPE) 및 폴리비닐 클로라이드(PVC)로 이루어진 그룹 중 하나로부터 선택되는 구성원인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 분말 피복된 표면 상의 부분 용융되고 고화된 분말 입자들의 면 밀도가 0.1g/㎡ 내지 50g/㎡의 범위인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 해도형 피복 패턴에서 섬(island)들이 서로 접촉하지 않으며, 위에서 보면, 구형을 나타내거나, 타원형을 나타내거나, 또는 구형 및 타원형을 나타내는, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제12항에 있어서,
상기 구형 섬이 산술 평균 직경 ds를 갖고, 상기 타원형 섬이 타원체의 장축과 단축의 길이를 산술 평균냄으로써 얻은 산술 평균 직경 de를 가져서, 상기 섬이
- 위에서 볼 때, 평균 직경 di = (ds+de)/2를 나타내고, di가 10 내지 10,000㎛의 범위이고,
- 측면에서 볼 때, 산술 평균 높이 h를 나타내고, h가 0.5 내지 1,000㎛의 범위인, 내탄도성 물품. - 제2항, 제12항 및 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 섬이 피복도(cover factor) fc = {(Acovered / (Auncovered + Acovered))}·100[%]에 의해 정의된 분말 피복된 표면의 분획을 커버하고, 상기 피복도에서, Auncovered는 분말 피복된 표면의 커버되지 않은 면적을 나타내고, Acovered는 분말 피복된 표면의 커버된 면적을 나타내며, fc는 1% 내지 95%의 범위인, 내탄도성 물품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 기재된 내탄도성 물품의 제조방법으로서,
a) 적어도 두 개의 층을 포함하는 적어도 하나의 압밀 복합재를 제조하는 단계로서, 각각의 층이 섬유들의 망상구조를 포함하고, 상기 섬유가 ASTM D 7269-07에 따라 적어도 800mN/tex(1,100MPa)의 강도를 가지며, 각 층의 상기 섬유가 매트릭스 물질로 함침되는, 상기 압밀 복합재를 제조하는 단계,
b) 단계 a)로부터 생성된 압밀 복합재의 적어도 하나의 표면을 분말 입자들로 분말 피복시키는 단계로서,
(1) 상기 분말 입자들을 상기 표면에 분배시키고,
(2) 단계 b(1)로부터 생성된 분배된 입자들을 상기 표면 상에서 부분 용융시키고,
(3) 단계 b(2)로부터 생성된 부분 용융된 입자들을 상기 표면 상에서 고화시킴으로써, 상기 분말 입자들로 분말 피복시키는 단계 및
단계 a) 및 b)에서 둘 이상의 복합재가 제조되는 경우,
c) 단계 b)에서 얻은 상기 둘 이상의 분말 피복된 압밀 복합재를 스택킹(stacking)시키고, 상기 압밀 복합재들을 이들을 스티칭(stitching)함에 의해 서로 고정시키는 단계를 포함하는, 제1항 또는 제2항에 기재된 내탄도성 물품의 제조방법. - 제15항에 있어서, 상기 단계 (1), (2) 및 (3)이 해도형 피복 패턴이 상기 분말 피복된 표면 상에 얻어지는 것을 보장하는 방식으로 수행되는, 내탄도성 물품의 제조방법.
