Abstract
Description
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 배기가스 후처리 시스템을 포함하는 내연기관의 제2 실시예를 도시한 도면이며, 배기가스 후처리 시스템은 추가로 언더바디 위치에서 사원 촉매 컨버터의 하류에 추가 삼원 촉매 컨버터를 포함한다.
도 3은 엔진 근처 사원 촉매 컨버터 및 이 사원 촉매 컨버터의 하류에 연결된 삼원 촉매 컨버터를 구비한 본 발명에 따른 배기가스 후처리 시스템을 포함하는 내연기관의 제3 실시예를 도시한 도면이다.
도 4는 배기가스 후처리를 위한 본 발명에 따른 방법의 수행 시, 배기 시스템 내의 온도 특성곡선 및 배기가스/공기비가 도시되어 있는 그래프이다.

Claims (10)
- 내연기관(10)의 배기구(12)와 연결될 수 있는 배기 시스템(20)을 포함하는, 내연기관(10)용 배기가스 후처리 시스템으로서, 배기 시스템(20)은 배기가스 덕트(22)를 포함하며, 이 배기가스 덕트 내에는 엔진 근처 제1 삼원 촉매 컨버터(28)를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 삼원 촉매 컨버터(28, 34) 및 하나의 사원 촉매 컨버터(30, 32)가 배치되고, 엔진 근처 삼원 촉매 컨버터(28)의 하류 및 사원 촉매 컨버터(30, 32)의 직상류에 유입 지점(38)이 제공되며, 유입 지점에서는 상기 사원 촉매 컨버터(30, 32)의 가열을 위해 배기가스 후처리 시스템의 배기가스 버너(36)의 고온 배기가스가 상기 배기 시스템(20) 내로 유입될 수 있는 내연기관용 배기가스 후처리 시스템에 있어서,
배기 시스템(20) 내에서 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 하류에 제2 삼원 촉매 컨버터(34)가 배치되고,
유입 지점(38)과 사원 촉매 컨버터(30, 32) 사이에 최소 30㎝의 길이를 갖는 혼합 구간이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 내연기관용 배기가스 후처리 시스템. - 삭제

- 제1항에 있어서, 엔진 근처 삼원 촉매 컨버터(28)의 상류에 제1 람다 프로브(42)가 배치되고, 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 직상류에는 제2 람다 프로브가(44)가 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 내연기관용 배기가스 후처리 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 엔진 근처 삼원 촉매 컨버터(28)의 상류에 제1 람다 프로브(42)가 배치되고, 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 하류에 제2 람다 프로브(44)가 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 내연기관용 배기가스 후처리 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 엔진 근처 삼원 촉매 컨버터(28)의 상류에 제1 람다 프로브(42)가 배치되고, 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 직상류에 제2 람다 프로브(44)가 배치되며, 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 하류에 제3 람다 프로브(46)가 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 내연기관용 배기가스 후처리 시스템.

- 제1항 및 제4항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 배기가스 후처리 시스템을 이용한, 내연기관(10)의 배기가스 후처리를 위한 방법에 있어서,
- 배기가스 버너(36)의 고온 버너 가스를 유입시켜 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)를 재생 온도(TR)로 가열하는 단계로서, 상기 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 하류 또는 제2 삼원 촉매 컨버터(34)의 하류에서 화학량론적 배기가스가 조정되게 하는 단계;
- 배기가스 버너(36)를 작동 중단하고 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 상류에 이차 공기를 취입하는 단계로서, 사원 촉매 컨버터(30) 내에 체류된 그을음이 과화학량론적 배기가스(λ > 1)를 통해 산화되는 재생 단계; 및
- 아화학량론적 연소 공기비(λ < 1)로 내연기관(10)을 작동시키는 단계로서, 이차 공기의 취입 단계 동안 사원 촉매 컨버터(30)의 산소 저장부(OSC) 내에 저장된 산소가 소기되어, 최대 산소량이 저장 용량의 최대 25%가 되는 단계;를 포함하는,
내연기관의 배기가스 후처리 방법. - 제8항에 있어서, 재생 단계에서 배기가스/공기비 및 이차 공기로 이루어진 혼합 람다(λvT)는 1.05 < λvT < 1.2인 것을 특징으로 하는, 내연기관의 배기가스 후처리 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 배기가스 버너(36)의 각각의 능동적 가열 단계 후에, 상기 사원 촉매 컨버터(30, 32)의 재생 단계가 개시되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 내연기관의 배기가스 후처리 방법.
