Claims (15)
- 탱크의 외부와 소통하도록 하나 이상의 소통용 컴포넌트를 구비하며 측벽을 지닌 플라스틱 연료탱크를, 두 개의 공동부 및 하나의 코어가 마련된 몰드를 이용하여 패리슨을 성형함으로써, 제조하는 방법이며, 상기 방법은:
- 패리슨을 몰드 공동부에 도입하는 단계와;
- 하나 이상의 컴포넌트가 먼저 장착되어 있는 코어를 패리슨 내부로 도입하는 단계와;
- 공동부가 코어와 기밀한 접촉을 이루도록 몰드를 닫는 단계와;
- 코어를 통한 블로잉 공정의 수행 및 공동부 후방으로의 진공 발생 중 하나 이상에 의해, 패리슨을 공동부에 대해 가압하는 단계와;
- 상기 하나 이상의 컴포넌트를 패리슨의 내벽에 설치하는 단계와;
- 몰드를 개방하여 코어를 인출하는 단계와;
- 블로우 성형법 및 열성형법 중 하나 이상에 의해 패리슨을 최종 성형하는 단계와;
- 탱크의 외판(skin)을 절삭하여 소통용 컴포넌트로의 접근을 허용하는 단계를 포함하며, 이에 따라,
- 패리슨을 상기 공동부에 대해 가압할 때 몰드 공동부에 중공이 제공되어, 중공의 형상과 상보적인 형상을 가지며 저부와 측벽을 포함하는, 포켓을 적어도 부분적으로 형성하게 되고;
- 소통용 컴포넌트 측벽의 적어도 일부분을 포켓 측벽의 적어도 일부분에 용접함으로써 소통용 컴포넌트를 포켓 내에 체결시켜 설치하는 것을 포함하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 소통용 컴포넌트는 필러 넥, 환기 파이프, OBD 라인, 도전체 또는 장착 플레이트를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 소통용 컴포넌트가 장착 플레이트를 포함하는 경우, 장착 플레이트는 복수의 컴포넌트를 포함하는 선조립형 컴포넌트 유닛의 일부인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 컴포넌트 유닛의 컴포넌트들은 펌프, 게이지 및 환기 시스템 중에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 장착 플레이트는:
- 환기 시스템에 연결되는 환기 통로;
- 펌프에 연결되는 연료 통로;
- 펌프 및 게이지 중 하나 이상에 연결되는 도전체를 위한 통로; 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 컴포넌트의 측면부 및 포켓의 측면부가 상보적이며 원추형인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 공동부에 대해 패리슨을 가압하는 단계는, 소통용 컴포넌트 주위의 탱크 외부면에, 컴포넌트의 도움으로 몰드의 중공 내에 재료를 가압함으로써, 연결부를 형성하는 작업을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 가압에 의한 연결부 형성은 공동부의 하나 이상의 이동부재 도움을 받는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 방법에 따라 연결부에는 실링 링이 제공되며, 이때 실링 링은 캐비티 내의 측방향 이동부재에 의해 연결부와 단일부품으로 성형되거나, 또는 연결부가 자유롭게 되는 경우에 컴포넌트의 연결부 내/주위에 위치되는 별개 부품의 일부인 것인 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 컴포넌트는 필러 넥이고, 탱크 외부와 컴포넌트의 연결을 해제하기 위해 연결부의 단부를 기계가공/절삭하며, 이러한 기계가공/절삭 조작은 결과적으로 필러 넥을 설치하는 동안에 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.

- 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 컴포넌트는 바인더를 이용하여 용접하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
