Claims (14)
- 상부측으로 광을 전달하는 백라이트 유닛;
상기 백라이트 유닛 상에 위치하며, 서로 대향된 제 1, 제 2 기판, 상기 제 1 기판 상에 이격되어 형성된 복수개의 제 1 전극, 상기 제 2 기판 상에 전면 형성된 제 2 전극, 및 상기 제 1, 제2 기판 사이에 형성된 액정층을 포함하여 이루어져 전압 인가시 배리어로 기능하며, 전압 비인가시 투명셀로 기능하는 배리어 셀;
상기 배리어 셀 상부에 부착된 제 1 휘도 향상 편광 필름;
상기 배리어 셀 하부에 부착된 제 2 휘도 향상 편광 필름; 및
상기 제 1 휘도 향상 편광 필름 상에 위치한 영상 패널을 포함하여 이루어지며,
상기 제 1 휘도 향상 편광 필름은, 상기 배리어 셀에 대향되어 반사 기능을 갖는 제 1 휘도 향상층과, 상기 제1 휘도 향상층에 적층되고 일방향의 제 1 투과축을 갖는 제 1 편광층으로 이루어지며,
상기 제 2 휘도 향상 편광 필름은, 상기 백라이트 유닛에 대향되어 반사 기능을 갖는 제 2 휘도 향상층과, 상기 제2 휘도 향상층에 적층되고 상기 제 1 투과축과 수직한 제 2 투과축을 갖는 제 2 편광층으로 이루어지고,
상기 배리어 셀은,
전압 인가시 상기 제2 전극에 문턱전압을 인가하고, 블랙 영역과 화이트 영역을 분할하여 구동하도록 상기 블랙 영역의 제1 전극에는 상기 제2 전극에 인가되는 문턱전압보다 큰 전압을 인가하고, 화이트 영역의 제1 전극에는 상기 제2 전극에 인가되는 문턱전압과 동일한 전압을 인가함으로써, 서로 다른 레벨의 전압을 인가하는 전압원을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치.

상기 배리어 셀은, 전압 인가시, TN 모드, ECB 모드 및 OCB 모드 중 어느 하나의 모드로 구동되는 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치. - 제 1항에 있어서,
상기 영상 패널은 수광형 표시 패널인 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치. - 제 10항에 있어서,
상기 영상 패널은 액정 패널인 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치. - 제 10항에 있어서,
상기 영상 패널 상에 편광판을 더 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치. - 제 1항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 휘도 향상 편광 필름의 상기 제 2 휘도 향상층이 대향되는 상기 백라이트 유닛의 표면에는 반사쉬트를 더 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 배리어 셀의 제 1, 제 2 기판은 각각 배향막을 더 포함하며,
상기 배향막은 상기 제 2 휘도 향상 편광 필름의 투과축과 5° 내지 9°의 각으로 러빙되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 입체 영상 표시 장치.
