Abstract
본 발명은 화소 전극 및 공통 전극 중 적어도 하나의 전극을 불투명한 금속으로 형성하여 블랙 휘도를 증진시킴으로써 명암비를 향상시킴과 더불어 상기 불투명한 금속으로 이루어진 전극 상에 반사 조절층을 형성함으로써 외부광이 반사되는 정도를 적절히 조절하여 화면이 무지개와 같은 형상으로 보이는 문제를 해소할 수 있다.

도 2a는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 액정표시장치용 기판의 개략적인 평면도이고, 도 2b는 도 2a의 I-I라인의 단면도이다.
도 3a는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 액정표시장치용 기판의 개략적인 평면도이고, 도 3b는 도 3a의 I-I라인의 단면도이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 반사 조절층의 두께 변화에 따라 외부광의 반사율 변화를 보여주는 그래프이다.

Claims (10)
- 기판;
상기 기판 상에서 서로 교차되도록 배열된 게이트 라인 및 데이터 라인;
상기 게이트 라인 및 데이터 라인이 교차하는 영역에 형성되는 박막 트랜지스터;
상기 박막 트랜지스터와 전기적으로 연결되는 화소 전극;
상기 화소 전극과 함께 전계를 형성시키는 공통 전극; 및
상기 화소 전극 및 공통 전극 중 적어도 하나의 전극 상에 형성된 반사 조절층을 포함하여 이루어지고,
상기 반사 조절층 아래에 형성되는 화소 전극 또는 공통 전극은 불투명 금속으로 이루어지고,
상기 반사 조절층은 상기 불투명 금속의 굴절률의 30%이하의 굴절률을 가진 물질로 이루어진 액정표시장치. - 삭제

상기 반사 조절층은 50Å 내지 1000Å의 두께로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 반사 조절층은 투명한 도전성 산화물 또는 투명한 도전성 폴리머로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 불투명 금속은 Mo, Ti, Mo 합금, Ti 합금, MoN, TiN, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, W, 또는 Mn으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 화소 전극 및 공통 전극 중 어느 하나의 전극은 투명한 전극으로 이루어지고 나머지 전극은 불투명한 전극으로 이루어지며, 상기 반사 조절층은 상기 불투명한 전극 위에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 화소 전극은 층간 절연막 위에서 불투명한 전극으로 형성되고, 상기 공통 전극은 상기 층간 절연막 아래에서 투명한 전극으로 형성되며, 상기 반사 조절층은 상기 화소 전극 위에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 화소 전극 및 공통 전극은 동일한 물질로 동일한 층에 형성되고, 상기 반사 조절층은 상기 화소 전극 및 공통 전극 모두 위에 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
