Abstract
Description
도 1은 정사각형 채널 형상을 갖는 종래 기술의 벌집형 모놀리스를 도시한다(벽 두께 = 0.7 mm, LS = 4.2 mm).
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 세장형 육각형 채널 형상을 갖는 벌집형 모놀리스를 도시한다(벽 두께 = 0.7 mm, LS = 3.2 mm).
도 3a은 주어진 LL 및 LS를 갖는 종래 기술의 정사각형 채널 형상을 도시한다.
도 3b는 본 발명에 따른 오각형 채널 형상을 도시한다.
도 3c는 본 발명에 따른 세장형 육각형과 같은 채널 형상을 도시한다.
도 4는 본 발명에 따른 라운딩된 코너들을 갖는 세장형 육각형과 같은 채널 형상을 도시한다.
도 5a는 본 발명에 따른 세장형 육각형들을 최조밀 패킹(packing)으로 도시한다.
도 5b는 본 발명에 따른 세장형 오각형을 최조밀 패킹(packing)으로 도시한다.
도 6a는 본 발명에 따른 12개의 내부 코너들을 갖는 볼록한 세장형 다각형들을 도시한다.
도 6b는 코너들이 매끄러운 볼록한 표면이 얻어지도록 라운딩된 볼록한 세장형 다각형들을 도시한다.
도 6c는 엇갈린(staggered) 구성의 라운딩된 코너들(앨런토이드(allentoid)들)을 갖는 볼록한 세장형 다각형을 도시한다.
도 7은 직경 비율(LL/LS) 및 채널의 형상의 함수로서 압력 강하(pressure drop)를 도시하며, 여기서 채널 벽 두께는 일정하게 유지된다. (기준점(benchmark)= 정사각형 채널 형상)
도 8은 직경 비율(LL/LS) 및 채널의 형상의 함수로서 화학적 변환을 도시하며, 여기서 채널 벽 두께가 일정하게 유지된다. (기준점 = 정사각형 채널 형상)
도 9는 2.84(9.08/3.20)의 LL/LS 비율, 0.7 mm의 셀 벽 두께, 및 1.86 셀들/cm2의 셀 밀도를 갖는 세장형 육각형 채널들을 구비한 본 발명에 따른 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물의 특정한 일 실시예를 도시한다.
도 10은 4.33(13.87/3.20)의 LL/LS 비율, 0.7 mm의 셀 벽 두께, 및 2.87 셀들/cm2의 셀 밀도를 갖는 세장형 육각형 채널들을 구비한 본 발명에 따른 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물의 다른 특정한 실시예를 도시한다.
도 11a는 플라이-애쉬(fly-ash)에 대한 48시간 노출 후에 기준 모놀리스에 대한 사진을 도시한다.
도 11b는 플라이-애쉬에 대한 48시간 노출 후에 육각형 모놀리스에 대한 사진을 도시한다.
도 11c는 시간의 함수로서 모놀리스들의 개방 전방 영역에 대한 그래프를 도시한다.
도 12는 정사각형 또는 세장형 육각형 채널들을 가지는 모놀리스들에 대해 실시된 압력 강하 실험들로부터의 결과를 도시한다.
Claims (16)
- 물질 전달 제한 공정들에서의 사용을 위한 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물로서,
복수의 다각형 채널들을 형성하는 복수의 셀 벽들을 포함하며, 상기 복수의 셀 벽들 및 채널들은 구조물의 입구 단부로부터 출구 단부로의 공통의 방향을 따라 평행하게 유체 유동 방향으로 연장하며, 상기 채널들은 양 단부들이 개방되는, 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물에 있어서,
다각형 채널의 횡방향의 횡단면은 볼록한 다각형의 형상을 가지며, 상기 볼록한 다각형의 두 개의 인접한 벽들 사이의 내각들 중 50% 이상의 내각들이 90도 초과이며, 셀 직경 비율(LL/LS)(가장 짧은 직경에 대한 가장 긴 직경이 갖는 비율)은 1.5 초과이며, 채널들 모두 또는 채널들의 메인 파트가 동일한 유동 저항을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 볼록한 다각형의 두 개의 인접한 벽들 사이의 내각들 중 50%를 초과하는 내각들이 90도 초과인 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 볼록한 다각형의 두 개의 인접한 벽들 사이의 모든 내각들은 90도 초과인 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 셀 직경 비율(LL/LS)은 2 내지 10의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
벽 두께는, 경계치를 포함하여 0.01 내지 5 mm의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
가장 짧은 직경(LS)은, 경계치를 포함하여 0.5 내지 20 mm의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
가장 긴 직경(LL)은, 경계치를 포함하여 0.75 내지 200 mm의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
다각형 채널의 횡방향의 횡단면은 오각형, 육각형 또는 팔각형 형상을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
볼록한 다각형들은 최조밀 패킹의 바둑판 배열(closest packing tessellation)로 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
세라믹 재료의 압출에 의해 생성되는 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
내측 코너들 중 하나 이상이 라운딩되는 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,
곡률 반경(LR)은 가장 짧은 직경(LS)의 절반과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는,

- 제 1 항에 있어서,

- 제 13 항에 있어서,
질소 산화물들의 선택적인 촉매 환원(SCR)에서의 촉매로서 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는,
벌집형 모놀리스 구조물.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물을 적어도 하나 포함하는 촉매 구조물로서,
셀들은 오각형 또는 육각형 형상을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는,
촉매 구조물.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물들을 다수 개 포함하는 적층형의 구조화된 반응기로서,
다수 개의 상기 벌집형 모놀리스 구조물들은 공통 유동 방향을 따라 적층되는 것을 특징으로 하는,
적층형의 구조화된 반응기.
