도 2 는 도 1에 도시된 발전 플랜트에서 엔진과 발전기 사이에 증속기가 부가된 것을 개략적으로 도시한 도면이다.
도 3 은 본 발명의 일 실시 예를 선택적으로 발전 또는 운항할 수 있는 작동 메커니즘을 개략적으로 도시한 도면이다.
도 4 는 본 실시 예에서 엔진을 복수로 마련한 경우 증속기의 회전속도를 제어하는 회전속도 제어부와 발전기의 주파수를 제어하는 주파수 제어부를 개략적으로 도시한 도면이다.

Claims (13)
- 메인 엔진이 설치된 중고 LNG 운반선이나 폐 LNG 운반선으로서, 엔진룸 내부에 구비되는 상기 메인 엔진에 발전기를 연결하여 상기 중고 LNG 운반선이나 폐 LNG 운반선을 발전소로 이용하며,
상기 메인 엔진과 상기 발전기 사이에 마련되는 클러치; 및
상기 중고 LNG 운반선이나 상기 폐 LNG 운반선에 마련되며, 상기 발전기에서 생성된 전기가 저장되는 전기 저장 장치; 를 더 포함하며,
상기 메인 엔진은 스팀 터빈 엔진 또는 가스 터빈 엔진 중 선택된 어느 하나이며,
상기 메인 엔진에서 발생하는 폐열을 이용해 LNG를 재기화하며,
상기 클러치에 의해 상기 중고 LNG 운반선이나 상기 폐 LNG 운반선은 선택적으로 발전 또는 운항되되,
상기 중고 LNG 운반선이나 폐 LNG 운반선의 운항의 필요여부에 따라 상기 클러치는 상기 메인 엔진에서 프로펠러로 전달되는 동력을 선택적으로 차단하며,
상기 발전기의 발전량이 많을 때는 상기 전기 저장 장치에서 전기를 충전하고 수요처의 전력 수요량이 많을 때는 상기 전기 저장 장치에서 충전된 전기를 수요처로 공급하며,
상기 발전기는 상기 메인 엔진에 연결된 추진축을 분리하여 상기 메인 엔진에 연결되며,
상기 추진축은 일부분이 분리되되,
수밀(watertight)되어있는 스케그 영역과 엔진룸이 접하는 영역의 상기 추진축 주위 부분은 그대로 둠으로써,
상기 중고 LNG 운반선이나 폐 LNG 운반선에 기 설치된 상기 메인 엔진을 이용하여 전력을 생산하는,
