Claims (7)
- 회전 가능하게 마련되며, 서로 다른 폭으로 이루어진 복수의 패턴을 구비한 패턴 영역이 반복되어 형성되는 패턴 휠과,회전하는 상기 패턴 휠의 패턴 영역이 통과하는 부분에 설치되며, 상기 패턴을 검출하는 검출부와,상기 검출부로부터 생성되는 신호에 기초하여, 상기 패턴 휠의 정회전 또는 역회전을 지시하는 신호를 생성하는 인코더를 포함하되,상기 복수의 패턴은 적어도 서로 다른 3개의 폭으로 이루어진 반사부 및/또는 비반사부를 구비하고,상기 검출부는,상기 패턴 영역이 마련된 부분으로 광을 방출하는 광원과,상기 패턴 영역으로부터 반사되는 광을 검출하는 하나의 수광부를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 패턴 휠 구동 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 패턴은, 광을 반사하는 반사부 및 광을 반사하지 않는 비반사부가 교차 배열된 패턴인 것을 특징으로 하는 패턴 휠 구동 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 패턴 휠이 결합되는 회전 다이얼을 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 패턴 휠 구동 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 회전 다이얼이 회전할 수 있도록 장착되는 영역을 마련하며,상기 패턴 휠의 패턴 영역을 검출할 수 있도록 상기 검출부가 고정되는 하우징 어셈블리를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 패턴 휠 구동 장치.
- 휴대용 전자장치에 있어서,회전 가능하게 마련되며, 서로 다른 폭으로 이루어진 복수의 패턴을 구비한 패턴 영역이 반복되어 형성되는 패턴 휠, 회전하는 상기 패턴 휠의 패턴 영역이 통과하는 부분에 설치되며, 상기 패턴을 검출하는 검출부, 상기 검출부로부터 생성되는 신호에 기초하여, 상기 패턴 휠의 정회전 또는 역회전을 지시하는 신호를 생성하는 인코더, 및 상기 패턴 휠이 회전할 수 있도록 장착되는 영역을 마련하며, 상기 검출부가 고정되는 하우징 어셈블리를 포함하는 패턴 휠 구동 장치와,상기 인코더로부터 수신한 신호에 기초하여, 디스플레이 상에 표시하는 정보를 제어하는 마이크로 프로세서를 구비하되,상기 복수의 패턴은 적어도 서로 다른 3개의 폭으로 이루어진 반사부 및/또는 비반사부를 구비하고,상기 검출부는,상기 패턴 영역이 마련된 부분으로 광을 방출하는 광원과,상기 패턴 영역으로부터 반사되는 광을 검출하는 하나의 수광부를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 전자장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 상에 표시하는 정보는 휴대용 전자장치의 운영체제 프로그램에서 제공하는 메뉴, 마우스 포인터, 음성 및 영상 컨텐츠를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 전자장치.
