Description
도 1은 본 발명의 제1 실시예에 따른 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서, 임플란트 또는 척추체 제거 장치의 부분 분해 정면(top) 사시도이다.

Claims (22)
- 수축(collapsed) 상태 및 팽창 상태를 가지며 척추골들 사이에 이식을 위한 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서(expandable interbody spacer)에 있어서,
하나의 척추골의 적어도 일부분과 접촉하기 위한 외부면을 구비하는 상부 요소;
다른 하나의 척추골의 적어도 일부분과 접촉하기 위한 외부면을 구비하는 하부 요소를 포함하고, 상기 스페이서가 상기 수축 상태와 상기 팽창 상태 사이를 이동할 수 있도록 상기 상부 요소 및 상기 하부 요소는 서로에 대해 이동가능하고;
상기 상부 요소와 상기 하부 요소 사이에 위치되고 그들 중 적어도 하나에 대해 이동가능하며 측면 및 원위단 표면을 포함하는 적어도 하나의 보스 부재; 및
정상면, 해제(relaxed) 위치, 변형(deflected) 위치 및 공간을 각각 구비하 는 적어도 하나의 팽창가능한 클립 부재를 포함하고,
상기 클립 부재가 상기 변형 위치에 있을 때, 상기 보스 부재는 상기 공간을 통해 지나가도록 배열 및 구성되며, 상기 클립 부재가 상기 해제 위치에 있을 때 상기 클립 부재는 상기 보스 부재의 이동을 간섭하고 상기 보스 부재가 상기 공간을 통해 지나가는 것을 허용하지 않으며, 상기 스페이서가 팽창 위치일 때 클립 부재들의 각각이 변형 위치에 있고, 스페이서가 팽창할 때 클립 부재들의 각각의 변형은 순차적으로 보스 부재의 상기 원위단 표면이 클립 부재들의 각각의 정상면을 지나면서 해제 위치까지 변형하여, 상기 스페이서가 소정의 증가량으로 팽창하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
각각이 하나의 정상에 다른 하나가 적층되어 적어도 하나의 클립 부재 스택(stack)을 형성하는 다수의 클립 부재들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은, 힘이 가해지면 이동하는, 일체형의 탄성적이고 탄력적으로 변형가능한 아암들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은 단일 물질편으로 형성되고 일체로 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은 편평(flat)하고 일정한 두께를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은 웨지(wedge)형인 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제2항에 있어서,
각각 다수의 클립 부재들을 포함하는 클립 부재 스택을 1개를 초과하여 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 상부 요소는 상기 상부 요소로부터 상기 하부 요소를 향해 연장하는 적어도 하나의 보스 부재를 포함하고, 상기 하부 요소는 상기 하부 요소로부터 상기 상부 요소를 향해 연장하는 하나의 포스트 부재를 포함하며, 상기 포스트 부재는 스페이서가 팽창 및 수축할 때 상기 보스 부재에 대해 신연(telescope)할 수 있도록 상기 보스 부재와 결합되는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
다수의 보스 부재들, 다수의 포스트 부재들, 및 다수의 클립 부재 스택들을 형성하는 다수의 클립 부재들을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제10항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은 힘이 가해질 때 팽창하는 탄성 아암을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들의 아암들은 원형, C-형, U-형, Y-형 및 V-형으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 적어도 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은 상기 하부 요소에 고정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제10항에 있어서,
상기 다수의 클립 부재 스택들은 상기 다수의 보스 부재들 사이에 위치되는 중앙 부재에 의해 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 다수의 클립 부재 스택들은 서로 다른 보스 부재와 결합되는 적어도 2개의 개별적인 탄성 클립 부재 스택을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제15항에 있어서,
상기 상부 요소 및 상기 하부 요소는 자신의 외주(perimeter)를 따라 가장자리들(edges)을 포함하고, 상기 개별적인 탄성 클립 부재 스택은 상기 보스 부재들과 상부 요소와 하부 요소의 상기 외주 가장자리들 사이에 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제10항에 있어서,
상기 보스 부재들과 상기 포스트 부재들은 원통형인 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
축방향 압축을 받을 때 상기 보스 부재의 상기 원위단이 상기 클립 부재의 상기 정상면을 지나 상기 상부 요소를 지지함에 따라, 상기 클립 부재들은 상기 보스 부재 밑에서 해제 위치로 이동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들이 상기 변형 위치로 전환되어 자신에 의해 구획된 공간이 더 커질 때, 상기 클립 부재들은 팽창되어 서로에 대해 이격되게 이동하는 아암들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 클립 부재들은 상기 변형 위치로 전환될 때 내부로 변형하는 아암들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서. - 제1항에 있어서,

상기 보스 부재는 리세스(recess)를 구비하고, 상기 스페이서가 상기 수축 상태와 상기 팽창 상태 사이를 이동할 때 상기 포스트 부재는 상기 리세스 안에서 이동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팽창가능한 추간 스페이서.
