Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 조명 장치로서,장착 보드(mounting board)에 의해 규정된 제1 평면 내에 제1 기준 축(reference axis)을 갖는 평면인 장착 보드; 및상기 장착 보드 상에 배치된 복수의 LED 기반 광원들을 포함하며,각각의 LED 기반 광원은 기하학적 형상을 갖는 발광 영역을 형성하도록 배열된 다수의 LED 칩들의 칩-온-보드 어셈블리(chip-on-board assembly)를 포함하는 LED 패키지를 포함하고, 상기 기하학적 형상의 회전 대칭에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하는 상기 광원의 방위(orientation)를 지시하는 제2 기준 축을 가지며, 각 광원에 대한 상기 제2 기준 축은, 상기 복수의 광원들 모두에 대해 동일하게 지정되고,상기 복수의 LED 기반 광원들은, 전력이 공급될 때, 대응하는 복수의 광 빔들을 타겟 조명 필드(target illumination field)를 향해 투사하며, 상기 빔들은 상기 타겟 조명 필드 내에서 겹쳐지고,상기 복수의 LED 기반 광원들은, 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 상기 복수의 광원들 중 제1 광원의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 제1 방위가, 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 상기 복수의 광원들 중 적어도 하나의 다른 광원의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 적어도 하나의 다른 방위와는 다르게 되도록 상기 장착 보드 상에 배치되는, 조명 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 각각의 LED 기반 광원은 상기 LED 패키지에 결합된 시준기(collimator)를 더 포함하는 조명 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 각각의 LED 기반 광원의 상기 다수의 LED 칩들은 서로 다른 색의 광들을 생성하는 조명 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 각각의 LED 기반 광원의 상기 제2 기준 축은 상기 다수의 LED 칩들에 의해 생성되는 광들의 적어도 하나의 색의 회전 대칭에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하는 조명 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 광원들 각각은, 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 그 광원의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 고유한 방위를 갖는 조명 장치.
- 균일한 투사 조명(uniform projection lighting)을 제공하기 위한 방법으로서,복수의 LED 기반 광원들 중 적어도 두 개의 LED 기반 광원들이 공통 장착 보드 상에서 서로 다른 방위들을 갖도록, 평면인 장착 보드 상에 복수의 LED 기반 광원들을 배열하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 복수의 LED 기반 광원들은, 전력이 공급될 때, 대응하는 복수의 시준된 광 빔들을 타겟 조명 필드(target illumination field)를 향해 투사하며, 상기 빔들은 상기 타겟 조명 필드 내에서 적어도 부분적으로 겹쳐지고,상기 평면인 장착 보드는 상기 장착 보드에 의해 규정된 제1 평면 내에 제1 기준 축을 가지며, 각각의 LED 기반 광원은 기하학적 형상을 갖는 발광 영역을 형성하도록 배열된 다수의 LED 칩들의 칩-온-보드 어셈블리를 포함하는 LED 패키지를 포함하고, 상기 기하학적 형상의 회전 대칭에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하여 상기 광원의 방위를 지시하는 제2 기준 축을 가지며, 각각의 광원에 대한 상기 제2 기준 축은, 상기 복수의 광원들 모두에 대해 동일하게 지정되고,상기 복수의 LED 기반 광원들은, 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 상기 복수의 광원들 중 제1 광원의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 제1 방위가, 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 상기 복수의 광원들 중 적어도 하나의 다른 광원의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 적어도 하나의 다른 방위와는 다르게 되도록, 상기 장착 보드 상에 배치되는,균일한 투사 조명을 제공하기 위한 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 각각의 LED 기반 광원은, LED 패키지에 결합된 시준기를 더 포함하는, 균일한 투사 조명을 제공하기 위한 방법.
- 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 각각의 LED 기반 광원의 상기 다수의 LED 칩들은 서로 다른 색의 광들을 생성하는, 균일한 투사 조명을 제공하기 위한 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 각각의 LED 기반 광원의 상기 제2 기준 축은 상기 다수의 LED 칩들에 의해 생성되는 광들의 적어도 하나의 색의 회전 대칭에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하는, 균일한 투사 조명을 제공하기 위한 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 광원들 각각은, 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 그 광원의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 고유한 방위를 갖는, 균일한 투사 조명을 제공하기 위한 방법.
- 투사 조명 장치로서,장착 보드에 의해 규정된 제1 평면 내에 제1 기준 축을 갖는 평면인 장착 보드; 및상기 장착 보드 상에 배치된 복수의 LED 패키지들을 포함하며,각각의 LED 패키지는, 기하학적 형상을 갖는 발광 영역을 형성하도록 배열된 다수의 LED 칩들의 칩-온-보드 어셈블리 및 상기 칩-온-보드 어셈블리에 결합된 시준기를 포함하고, 각각의 LED 패키지는, 상기 기하학적 형상의 회전 대칭에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하는 상기 패키지의 방위를 지시하는 제2 기준 축을 가지며, 각각의 패키지에 대한 상기 제2 기준 축은, 상기 복수의 패키지들 모두에 대해 동일하게 지정되며,상기 복수의 LED 패키지들은, 전력이 공급될 때, 대응하는 복수의 시준된 광 빔들을 타겟 조명 필드를 향해 투사하며, 상기 빔들은 상기 타겟 조명 필드 내에서 겹쳐지고,상기 복수의 LED 패키지들은, 각각의 패키지가 상기 장착 보드의 상기 제1 기준 축에 대해 상대적인, 그 패키지의 제2 기준 축으로 규정된 고유한 방위를 갖도록 상기 장착 보드 상에 배치되는, 투사 조명 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 각각의 패키지의 상기 다수의 LED 칩들은 서로 다른 색의 광들을 생성하는 투사 조명 장치.
- 제12항에 있어서, 각각의 패키지의 상기 제2 기준 축은 상기 다수의 LED 칩들에 의해 생성되는 광들의 적어도 하나의 색의 회전 대칭에 적어도 부분적으로 기초하는 투사 조명 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 장착 보드 상에 배치된 상기 복수의 LED 패키지들의 총 수는 M이고, 각각의 LED 패키지의 회전 대칭은 Rmax이고, 상기 복수의 패키지들 중 임의의 두 개의 패키지들 사이의 회전 각은 nA이고, A = Rmax/M이고, n은 1 내지 (M-1) 범위 내의 정수인 투사 조명 장치.
- 제14항에 있어서, Rmax는 360°인 투사 조명 장치.
