Claims (15)
- 밸러스트수 처리 장치로서,
캐비테이션 기포가 형성되는 수축부 내로 유입된 후에 캐비테이션 기포가 파열되는 출구로 물을 흐르게 하는 것을 이용하여, 물에 캐비테이션을 생성하도록 마련되는 캐비테이션 유닛(10)
을 포함하며, 상기 수축부는 흐름 방향에 대해 직교하는 라인을 따라 좁고 길게 형성된 구멍을 포함하고,
상기 구멍은 5 mm 이하의 폭을 갖고, 환형부를 획정하는 원형벽에 의해 형성되는 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐비테이션 유닛(1)은, 생물, 미생물, 유기질 폐기물, 무기질 폐기물 또는 장쇄 탄화수소 분자를 포함하는 원치 않는 물질을 파괴하기 위해 캐비테이션을 이용하여 물을 처리하도록 마련되는 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 원치 않는 물질은 수생 생물(water-borne organisms) 또는 미생물인 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 캐비테이션 유닛(10)은, 기포의 파열이 시작되는 지점에서, 기포의 에지로부터 원치 않는 물질까지의 최대 거리가 기포의 반경보다 작도록 배치되는 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 환형부는 1 내지 2 ㎜의 폭과, 50 내지 100㎜의 직경을 갖는 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 상기 구멍은 파이프(31) 내의 캐비테이션 바디(30)에 의해 형성되는 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 환형부는 캐비테이션 바디(30)의 외벽과 파이프(31)의 내벽에 의해 형성되고, 상기 캐비테이션 바디는 출구 단부에서 테이퍼진 프로파일을 갖는 것인 밸러스트수 처리 장치.

- 밸러스트수 처리 방법으로서,
물을 캐비테이션 유닛(10)을 통해 통과시키는 단계와,
캐비테이션 기포가 형성되는 수축부 내로 유입된 후에 캐비테이션 기포가 파열되는 출구로 상기 물을 흐르게 함으로써 캐비테이션을 생성하는 단계
를 포함하며, 상기 수축부에는 흐름 방향에 직교하는 라인을 따라 좁고 길게 형성된 구멍을 마련하고,
