Claims (16)
- A) 제올라이트를 포함하는 촉매의 존재하에서 알칸, 시클로알칸, 알칸 라디칼 및 시클로알칸 라디칼 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 하나 이상의 방향족 메틸화제와 하나 이상의 방향족 화합물을 반응시켜 메틸 대 페닐의 몰비가 공급물보다 큰 0.1:1 이상인 생성물을 형성하는 단계
를 포함하는, 공급물 중 하나 이상의 방향족 화합물의 메틸 대 페닐의 몰비를 증가시키는 방법으로서,
상기 공급물은 나프타; 개질(reforming), 수소처리(hydrotreating), 촉매 또는 비촉매 분해, 올리고머화, 축합, 수소가공(hydroprocessing), 코우킹, 진공 및 비진공 탄화수소 증류, 및 방향족 화합물 분리의 생성물; 액화 석유 가스, 분해시 얻어진 개질물(reformate), 및 방향족 추출 구역에서 나온 라피네이트; 및 이의 조합으로부터 선택된 것인 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 방향족 메틸화제는 2 이상의 탄소 원자를 가진 화합물을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 방향족 메틸화제는 시클로알칸 및 C2-C8 알칸 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 방향족 화합물은 벤젠을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 방향족 화합물은 톨루엔을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공급물은 벤젠을 공급물의 중량에 대해 20 중량% 이상 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공급물은 벤젠을 공급물의 중량에 대해 20 내지 95 중량% 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 방향족 화합물은 공급물의 중량에 대해 20 중량% 이상으로 포함되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공급물은 하나 이상의 시클로알칸을 공급물의 중량에 대해 10 중량% 이상 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공급물은 하나 이상의 시클로알칸을 공급물의 중량에 대해 10 내지 70 중량% 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 촉매는 MTW, MOR 및 MFI로부터 선택되는 하나 이상의 제올라이트를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 촉매는 금속이 부재하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 촉매는 촉매의 중량을 기준으로 0.1 중량% 미만의 총 금속을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 촉매는 촉매의 중량을 기준으로 0.01 중량% 미만의 총 금속을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 촉매는 바인더를 더 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 바인더는 무기 옥시드 바인더를 포함하는 것인 방법.
