Claims (8)
- 게이트배선 및 데이터배선이 교차하는 지점에 정의되는 다수의 화소를 포함하는 액정패널과;제어신호 및 디지털 형태의 데이터신호를 공급하는 타이밍컨트롤러와;상기 제어신호에 대응하여 상기 액정패널을 인에이블하는 게이트구동회로와;상기 디지털 형태의 데이터신호를 아날로그 형태의 영상신호로 변환하여 상기 액정패널에 공급하는 데이터구동회로와;상기 영상신호의 변환기준인 기준감마전압을 생성하고, 상기 데이터구동회로에 공급하는 감마기준전압부와;상기 데이터구동회로와 연결되며, 상기 기준감마전압을 보상하는 감마보상수단과;상기 액정패널에 공통전압을 공급하는 공통전압부와;상기 감마기준전압부에 구동전압을 공급하는 전원부를 포함하고,상기 감마보상수단은, 상기 액정패널의 일 단에서 전기적으로 연결되는 데이터PCB 상에 실장되고, 상기 데이터PCB 상에 포함되는 외부패드를 통해 상기 데이터구동회로와 서로 전기적으로 접속되며,상기 데이터구동회로는 상기 데이터PCB와 상기 액정패널 사이에 연결되며, 상기 기준감마전압을 계조수 만큼 분압하여 감마전압을 출력하는 감마분압부를 포함하고,상기 감마분압부는 상기 기준감마전압을 분압하는 다수의 저항소자를 포함하고,상기 감마보상수단은 상기 감마분압부에 직렬연결되며 상기 기준감마전압이 인가되는 하나 이상의 저항소자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 데이터구동회로는, 외부로부터 입력되는 제어신호에 대응하여 데이터신호를 출력하는 제어부와;상기 데이터신호를 순차적으로 출력하는 쉬프트레지스터부와;상기 쉬프트레지스터부로부터 출력되는 상기 데이터신호를 저장하는 래치부와;상기 데이터신호에 대응하여 상기 감마전압 중 하나를 선택하여 출력하는 디코더부와;상기 디코더부로부터 출력되는 신호의 극성을 선택하는 먹스부와;상기 먹스부로부터 선택된 극성의 신호를 신호라인으로 출력하는 출력버퍼부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 감마보상수단의 저항소자는 저항값을 조절할 수 있는 가변저항인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 감마기준전압부로부터 생성된 기준감마전압을 공급받아 표시하고자 하는 영상의 계조수 만큼 분압하여 감마전압을 생성하는 감마분압부와, 상기 감마분압부와 전기적으로 연결되어 상기 기준감마전압을 보상하는 감마보상수단을 포함하는 액정표시장치의 감마커브 보상방법에 있어서,상기 감마분압부를 통해 제1 감마커브를 생성하는 단계와;상기 감마보상수단의 저항값을 조절하여 상기 제1 감마커브를 제2 감마커브로 조절하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 감마보상수단은 데이터PCB 상에 실장되고, 상기 데이터PCB 상에 포함되는 외부패드를 통해 데이터구동회로와 서로 전기적으로 접속되며,상기 데이터구동회로는 상기 데이터PCB와 액정패널 사이에 연결되며, 상기 감마분압부를 포함하고상기 감마분압부는 상기 기준감마전압을 분압하는 다수의 저항소자를 포함하고,상기 감마보상수단은 상기 감마분압부에 직렬연결되며 상기 기준감마전압이 인가되는 하나 이상의 저항소자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 감마커브보상방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 제1 감마커브는 상기 제2 감마커브보다 높은 전위인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 감마커브보상방법.
