Description
Claims (21)
- 화상을 표시하는 표시 영역;상기 화상을 표시하지 않는 비표시 영역;상기 비표시 영역에 배치된 드라이버 IC; 및에이징용 패드로부터 공급되어 상기 표시 영역을 경유한 에이징 신호가 상기 드라이버 IC로 공급되는 것을 차단하기 위해 상기 표시 영역과 상기 드라이버 IC 사이에 배치된 보호부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보호부를 제어하기 위해 상기 비표시 영역에 배치된 제어 패드를 더 포함하고,상기 에이징용 패드는 상기 표시 영역을 에이징 구동하기 위해 상기 비표시 영역에 배치되는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 드라이버 IC는 상기 표시 영역에 배치된 다수의 게이트라인과 다수의 데이터라인과 전기적으로 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 게이트라인과 상기 다수의 데이터라인은 연장되어 상기 비표시 영역을 경유하여 상기 드라이버 IC에 전기적으로 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 보호부는 상기 비표시 영역의 각 게이트라인 및 각 데이터라인 상에 배치된 다수의 트랜지스터를 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 트랜지스터는 제어 신호에 의해 스위칭 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제어 신호는 상기 제어 패드를 통해 상기 각 트랜지스터로 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제어 신호에 의해 상기 각 트랜지스터는 동시에 스위칭 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제어 신호는 게이트 하이 전압 및 게이트 로우 전압 중 어느 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 트랜지스터는 N 모스 트랜지스터 및 P 모스 트랜지스터 중 어느 하나인 것으로 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 화상을 표시하며 다수의 게이트라인과 다수의 데이터라인을 포함하는 표시 영역과, 상기 화상을 표시하지 않는 비표시 영역과, 상기 비표시 영역에 배치되며 상기 다수의 게이트라인과 다수의 데이터라인에 전기적으로 연결된 드라이버 IC와, 상기 드라이버 IC와 상기 표시 영역 사이의 상기 각 게이트라인과 상기 각 데이터라인 상에 배치된 다수의 트랜지스터를 포함하는 보호부와, 상기 보호부를 제어하기 위해 상기 비표시 영역에 배치된 제어 패드와, 상기 다수의 게이트라인과 다수의 데이터라인에 전기적으로 연결된 에이징용 패드를 포함하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 제어 패드로 공급된 제어 신호에 의해 상기 각 트랜지스터를 턴오프하는 단계; 및상기 에이징용 패드로 공급된 에이징 신호를 상기 표시 영역의 다수의 게이트라인과 다수의 데이터라인에 인가하여 에이징을 수행하는 단계를 포함하는 액정표시장치의 에이징 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제어 패드로 공급된 상기 제어 신호에 의해 상기 각 트랜지스터를 턴온하는 단계; 및상기 드라이버 IC에서 생성된 게이트신호 및 데이터신호를 상기 표시 영역의 다수의 게이트라인과 다수의 데이터라인으로 인가하여 화상을 표시하는 단계를 더 포함하는 액정표시장치의 에이징 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 트랜지스터는 N 모스 트랜지스터 및 P 모스 트랜지스터 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 에이징 방법.
