- 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기가 인에이블된 모바일 무선 통신 디바이스를 제어하는 방법으로서,무선 통신 디바이스로부터 로케이션 정보(lat/long/PR info)를 송신하는 단계;상기 무선 통신 디바이스에서 위성 포지셔닝 시스템(SPS) 동작 모드 정보를 수신하는 단계 - 상기 SPS 동작 모드 정보는 상기 무선 통신 디바이스로부터 송신된 로케이션 정보에 기초함 -; 및상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 동작 모드 정보에 기초하여 상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기의 동작 모드를 제어하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 SPS 동작 모드 정보를 수신하는 단계는 상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기가 (예를 들면, 의사범위 측정들이 수행되는 횟수 또는 레이트를 줄임으로써) 에너지 소모를 줄이게 되는 시간 간격(time interval)을 나타내는 정보를 수신하는 단계를 포함하고,식별된 상기 시간 간격의 범위 동안에 상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기의 에너지 소모를 줄이는 단계를 포함하는 무선 통신 디바이스 제어 방법.
- 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기가 인에이블된 모바일 무선 통신 디바이스를 제어하는 방법으로서,무선 통신 디바이스로부터 로케이션 정보(lat/long/PR info)를 송신하는 단계;상기 무선 통신 디바이스에서 위성 포지셔닝 시스템(SPS) 동작 모드 정보를 수신하는 단계 - 상기 SPS 동작 모드 정보는 상기 무선 통신 디바이스로부터 송신된 로케이션 정보에 기초함 -; 및상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 동작 모드 정보에 기초하여 상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기의 동작 모드를 제어하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 SPS 동작 모드 정보를 수신하는 단계는 상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기가 (예를 들면, 의사범위 측정들이 수행되는 횟수 또는 레이트를 줄임으로써) 에너지 소모를 줄이게 되는 지리적 범위를 식별하는 정보를 수신하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 모바일 무선 통신 디바이스가 식별된 상기 지리적 범위에서 움직이는(traverse) 경우에 상기 위성 포지셔닝 시스템 수신기의 에너지 소모를 줄이는 단계를 포함하는 무선 통신 디바이스 제어 방법.
