Abstract
상기와 같은 조수석 에어백 모듈 및 그의 에어백 전개방법을 이용하는 것에 의해, 본 발명은 가스의 흐름을 집중해서 상부챔버를 먼저 팽창시켜 탑승자를 안전하게 보호할 수 있는 위치에 에어백 쿠션을 신속하게 전개함으로써 탑승자를 안전하게 보호할 수 있다.

Claims (3)
- 차량의 조수석에 탑승한 탑승자를 향하도록 설치되는 하우징,
상기 하우징의 하부에 고정되고 전자 제어 유닛으로부터 전달되는 제어신호에 기초하여 가스 압력을 발생하는 인플레이터 및
상기 인플레이터에서 발생된 가스 압력에 의해 2중의 챔버를 형성하면서 팽창되도록 상기 하우징에 접힌 상태로 내장되는 에어백 쿠션을 포함하고,
상기 에어백 쿠션은 주벽부,
상기 주벽부의 양측면을 형성하는 한 쌍의 측벽부 및
내부에 상기 에어백 쿠션과 동일한 재질로 상기 에어백 쿠션의 단면에 대응되는 형상으로 형성되어 상부챔버 및 하부챔버를 구분하도록 횡방향으로 설치되는 테더를 구비하며,
상기 테더는 상기 에어백 쿠션 전개시 에어백 쿠션의 전면 중앙부분이 오목하게 전개되도록 상기 주벽부와 한 쌍의 측벽부 중앙부분에 박음질되고,
상기 테더의 각 귀퉁이 부분에는 가스 압력 변화에 대응 가능하도록 상기 상부챔버에서 하부챔버로 가스압력을 전달하는 전달공이 형성되며,
상기 전달공은 상기 주벽부와 측벽부가 서로 만나는 가장자리에 형성되고,
상기 하부챔버는 상기 상부챔버의 전개 후 상부챔버에서 전달되는 가스압력에 의해 순차적으로 전개되는 것을 특징으로 하는 조수석 에어백 모듈. - 삭제
