Claims (30)
- 센서로부터 전송된 무선신호를 수신하기 위한 수신기;
상기 무선신호 내에 담겨져 있는 정보에 관련된 정보를 센서 판독기의 사용자에게 표시하기 위한 사용자 인터페이스;
주변광의 세기를 검출하기 위한 광검출기; 및
상기 수신기, 상기 광검출기 및 상기 사용자 인터페이스와 통신하는 프로세서;를 포함하는, 센서 판독기로서,
상기 프로세서는,
(a) 소정 이벤트의 발생에 응답하여 주변광의 광량을 결정하도록 구성되고, 그리고,
(b) 상기 주변광의 결정된 광량이 소정 임계세기를 초과하지 않는 경우 및 상기 주변광의 결정된 광량이 소정 임계세기를 초과하지 않는 경우에만 상기 이벤트의 발생에 응답하여 상기 센서를 기동시키도록 구성되는, 센서 판독기. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
상기 수신기, 상기 사용자 인터페이스 및 상기 광검출기를 수용하기 위한 하우징;을 더 포함하는, 센서 판독기. - 제2항에 있어서,

상기 센서 판독기는,
상기 판단수단이 상기 주변광의 세기가 소정 임계세기보다 작다고 판정함에 응답하여 상기 광센서를 기동시키는 수단;을 더 포함하는, 센서 판독기. - 제14항에 있어서, 상기 광센서가 기동하게 된 후, 상기 수신기는 상기 광센서로부터 전송된 신호를 수신하며, 상기 신호에는 분석대상물(analyte)에 관한 정보가 담겨져 있는, 센서 판독기.
- 제15항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
상기 신호에 담겨져 있는 정보와 상기 주변광의 결정된 세기를 이용하여 상기 분석대상물에 관한 값을 계산하기 위한 수단;을 더 포함하는, 센서 판독기. - 제15항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
상기 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 상기 사용자에게 정보를 출력하기 위한 수단;을 더 포함하며, 출력된 정보는 상기 광센서로부터 수신된 신호에 담겨져 있는 정보의 함수인, 센서 판독기. - 제15항에 있어서, 상기 신호는 무선으로 전송되는, 센서 판독기.

상기 프로세서는,
(a) 상기 주변광의 세기에 상응하는 데이터를 상기 광검출기로부터 수신하도록 구성되고;
(b) 상기 주변광의 세기가 소정 임계세기보다 크다는 것을 상기 주변광의 세기에 상응하는 데이터가 나타내는 경우에 상기 사용자에게 경보를 발하도록 구성되며; 그리고
(c) 상기 주변광의 세기가 소정 임계세기보다 크지 않다는 것을 상기 주변광의 세기에 상응하는 데이터가 나타내는 경우에 상기 센서로부터 전송된 신호를 수신하도록 구성되고, 상기 지시분자들이 조명되는 경우에 상기 센서로부터 전송되어 수신된 신호가 상기 지시분자들에 의해 발광하게 되는 광을 나타내는, 센서 판독기. - 제21항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
상기 수신기, 상기 사용자 인터페이스, 상기 광검출기 및 상기 프로세서를 수용하기 위한 하우징;을 더 포함하는, 센서 판독기. - 제22항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
불투명한 손목띠(wrist band);를 더 포함하며, 상기 하우징은 상기 불투명한 손목띠에 부착되는, 센서 판독기. - 제21항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 추가로, (a) 상기 센서로부터 전송된 데이터를 수신하도록 프로그램되고; (b) 상기 광검출기로부터 수신된 데이터 및 상기 센서로부터 전송된 데이터에 기초한 값을 계산하도록 프로그램되며; 그리고 (c) 상기 값을 상기 사용자 인터페이스에 표시하도록 프로그램되는, 센서 판독기.

(b) 상기 센서로부터 전송된 데이터를 수신하도록 프로그램되며;
(c) 상기 광검출기로부터 수신된 데이터 및 상기 센서로부터 전송된 데이터에 기초한 값을 계산하도록 프로그램되며; 그리고
(d) 상기 값을 상기 사용자 인터페이스에 표시하도록 프로그램되고,
상기 지시분자들이 조명되는 경우에 상기 센서로부터 전송되어 수신된 데이터가 상기 지시분자들에 의해 발광하게 되는 광을 나타내는, 센서 판독기. - 제25항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
상기 수신기, 상기 사용자 인터페이스, 상기 광검출기 및 상기 프로세서를 수용하기 위한 하우징;을 더 포함하는, 센서 판독기. - 제26항에 있어서,
상기 센서 판독기는,
