- 제1 기판,상기 제1 기판 위에 형성되어 있으며, 특정 방향의 편광을 반사시키며, 빛이 반사되어도 위상이 바뀌지 않도록 하는 위상 불변 반사층,상기 위상 불변 반사층의 위에 형성되어 있는 투명 전극,상기 투명 전극의 위에 형성되어 있는 반사 전극,상기 제1 기판에 대향하는 제2 기판,상기 제1 기판 및 상기 제2 기판 사이에 주입되어 있는 액정층,상기 제2 기판의 외측에 부착되어 있는 위상 지연층,상기 위상 지연층의 외측에 부착되어 있는 편광판을 포함하며,상기 투명 전극이 형성되어 있는 영역 중 상기 반사 전극이 형성되어 있지 않은 영역을 투과 영역이라 하고, 상기 반사 전극이 형성되어 있는 영역을 반사 영역이라 할 때, 상기 위상 불변 반사층은 투과 영역을 제외한 영역에 형성되어 있으며, 상기 위상 불변 반사층에는 상기 특정 방향의 편광이 입사되도록 형성되어 있으며,상기 위상 불변 반사층에 상기 특정 방향의 편광이 입사되도록 하기 위하여 제2 기판의 외측면에 제2 위상 지연층과 제2 편광판이 형성되어 있는 표시 장치.

- 제30항에서,상기 위상 불변 반사층은 상기 콜레스테릭 액정의 피치가 일정한 층이 2이상 적층되어 형성된 표시 장치.
- 제32항에서,상기 콜레스테릭 액정의 피치가 일정한 층이 3개 적층되어 있으며, 각각 적색, 녹색, 청색의 빛을 선택적으로 투과 및 반사시키는 표시 장치.
