Claims (34)
- 부호화될 현재 픽처를 블록으로 분할하고, 블록 단위로 참조 픽처들 중에서 2개의 참조 픽처를 선택하며, 선택된 참조 픽처의 각각을 식별하는 정보를 기술하고, 블록 상에 예측 부호화를 수행하는 픽처 부호화 방법으로서,다수의 블록으로 구성된 다수-블록 화상 유닛을 부호화하기 위해, 다수의 참조 픽처들 중에서, 공통적으로 참조될 1개 또는 2개의 공통 참조 픽처를 선택하는 단계와;2개의 공통 참조 픽처가 공통적으로 참조되도록 선택된 경우, 상기 2개의 선택된 참조 픽처로서, 상기 선택된 2개의 참조 픽처를 식별하는 정보를 블록마다 기술하는 대신에, 상기 다수-블록 화상 유닛에 대한 공통 정보 영역에 상기 2개의 공통 참조 픽처를 식별하는 공통 정보를 기술하는 단계와;1개의 공통 참조 픽처가 공통적으로 참조되도록 선택된 경우, 상기 2개의 선택된 참조 픽처 중 1개로서, 상기 2개의 선택된 참조 픽처 중 1개를 식별하는 정보를 블록마다 기술하는 대신에, 상기 다수-블록 화상 유닛에 대한 공통 정보 영역에 상기 1개의 공통 참조 픽처를 식별하는 공통 정보를 기술하고, 상기 선택된 2개의 참조 픽처 중 다른 1개를 식별하는 정보를 블록마다 더 기술하는 단계와;상기 선택된 2개의 참조 픽처를 이용하여, 상기 다수-블록 화상 유닛에 포함된 부호화될 현재 블록의 예측 화상을 생성하는 단계; 및상기 예측 화상을 이용하여 상기 현재 블록을 부호화하는 단계를 포함하는 픽처 부호화 방법.
