Claims (15)
- 제 1 액정패널과 그 하부에 제 2 액정패널 및 백라이트 유닛을 포함하는 영상표시장치에 있어서, 제 2 액정패널에는상부기판과;상기 상부기판에서 소정간격 이격된 하부기판과;상기 하부기판의 상부에 구성된 제 1 전극과;상기 하부기판의 하부에 구성된 제 1 콜레스테릭 액정층과;상기 상부기판 하부에 구성된 제 2 전극과;상기 상부기판 상부에 구성된 제 2 콜레스테릭 액정층과;상기 제 2 콜레스테릭 액정층 상부에 구성된 위상차판과;상기 위상차판 상부에 구성된 편광판과;상기 상부 및 하부기판 사이에 구성된 액정층을 포함하며,상기 백라이트 유닛에는 반사판을포함하는 영상 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 백라이트 유닛은 빛을 발산하는 광원을 더욱 포함하는 영상 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,제 2 액정패널을 스위칭하여 2차원과 3차원 디스플레이의 구현이 가능하도록 한 영상 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 액정표시장치는 두개의 기판과 그들 사이에 충진된 액정과 두 기판의 외곽부에 각각 편광판을 포함하고 있는 영상표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 콜레스테릭 액정층은 제 1 원편광만을 반사하는 영상표시장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 콜레스테릭 액정층은 제 1 원편광과 직교하는 제 2 원편광만을 반사하는 영상표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 전극은 줄무늬 형상을 가지도록 기판상에 패턴되어 형성된 영상표시장치.
- 상기 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 전극에 전원을 공급하지 않았을 때, 2차원 영상을 표시하는 영상표시장치.
- 상기 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 액정층은 275nm의 위상차를 가지며, 입사하는 제 1 원편광을 제 1 원편광과 직교하는 제 2 원편광으로 바꾸어 출사 시키는 영상표시장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 전극에 전원을 공급하였을 때, 3차원 입체영상을 표시하는 영상표시장치.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 전극에 전원을 공급하였을 때, 제 2 액정패널은 패러랙스-배리어 (parallax barrier)의 역할을 수행하는 영상표시장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 액정층 중에서 상기 제 2 전극에 대응하는 부분은 입사한 빛을 아무런 위상차 변화 없이 그대로 투과시키고, 제 2 전극에 대응하지 않는 부분은 입사한 빛의 위상차를 180도 변화시키는 영상표시장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 전극에 대응하는 부분은 패러랙스-배리어(parallax barrier)의 배리어(barrier)의 역할을 수행하고, 제 2 전극에 대응하지 않는 부분은 패러랙스-배리어(parallax barrier)의 슬릿(slit)의 역할을 수행하여 3차원 입체영상을 표시하는 영상표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 위상차판은 λ/4의 위상차를 가지고 있어, 입사하는 원편광을 선편광으로 전환하는 영상표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 콜레스테릭 액정층에 의해 반사된 빛은 반사판과의 상호작용에 의해 재활용 되고 제 1 액정패널로 재입사하도록 하는 영상표시장치.
