- 내경을 갖는 파이프 구획을 검사하거나 차단하기 위한 장치에 있어서,a) 상기 파이프의 내부로 삽입될 수 있도록 채택된 것으로서, 상기 파이프 내경보다 작은 외경 및 서로 반대로 마주보는 환형 면을 갖는 환형 몸체;b) 상기 환형 몸체(404)의 양단의 동축(coaxial)상에 위치하는 한 쌍의 보스(boss)(401,407)와;c) 각각의 상기 보스와 환형 면 사이에 동축을 이루며 장착되는 한 쌍의 환형 탄성시일(403,406)과;d) 상기 보스를 각기 환형 몸체의 방향으로 조여서, 상기 환형 탄성시일이 파이프의 원중심으로부터 외각 방향으로 변형을 일으킴으로써, 상기 환형 몸체의 외경면과 상기 파이프의 내경면과 상기 환형 탄성시일 사이에서 환형의 기밀 공간이 생기게 하는 조임 수단(402,408,414)과;e) 상기 환형몸체를 통하여 상기 환형 기밀 공간으로 연장된 제1 및 제2채널로 구성되어, 상기 환형기밀공간으로 유체를 유도하기 위한 유체유도수단과;f) 상기 장치의 양끝단부에 제공되어 상기 파이프 구획 내부와의 유체 유동을 위하여 상기 검사 및 차단 장치의 내부를 관통하는 배기구로 구성되고,상기 환형 몸체와 한 쌍의 보스를 관통하여 연장되는 샤프트(402)를 구비하고 있으며, 상기 한 쌍의 보스 중에 첫번째 보스는 상기 샤프트의 일단에 고정되고, 상기 샤프트의 타끝단에는 상기 조임 수단의 너트(414)가 체결되는 시험 및 차단장치에 있어서;상기 한 쌍의 보스중 두번째 보스에는 슬리브(408)가 부착되며, 이 슬리브는 상기 샤프트를 따라 연장되는 동시에 상기 두번째 보스 및 상기 조임수단의 너트 사이에 위치되며, 이 슬리브는 샤프트의 직경보다 큰 직경으로 형성되어 슬리브와 샤프트 사이에 두번째 환형 공간이 형성되며, 이 두번째 환형 공간은 유체를 유도하기 위한 유체 유도수단과 서로 유체 흐름 가능한 공간이 되며, 상기 슬리브는 상기 두번째 환형공간으로 유체가 유도될 수 있도록 하나 이상의 포트를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
- 청구항 19에 있어서, 상기 샤프트는 환형몸체 및 한 쌍의 보스와 동축을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
- 청구항 19 또는 청구항 20에 있어서, 상기 배기구는 상기 샤프트를 관통하여 연장된 보어(bore)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
- 청구항 19 또는 청구항 20에 있어서,상기 환형 몸체는 미끄럼 구동이 가능하게 상기 샤프트에 장착되어, 상기 환형 몸체와 상기 샤프트 사이에 세번째 환형 공간을 생성하고, 상기 두 번째 및 세번째 환형공간은 서로 유체 흐름 가능하게 연통되는 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
- 청구항 19 또는 청구항 20에 있어서, 상기 제1 채널과 제2 채널은 상기 첫번째 및 세번째 환형공간이 서로 유체 흐름 가능하도록 상기 환형 몸체를 통하여 방사상으로 연장되는 개구부(405)를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
- 청구항 19에 있어서, 상기 조임수단은 상기 샤프트의 타끝단상에 형성된 나사부에 치합되는 너트를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
- 청구항 24에 있어서, 상기 너트는 상기 두번째 보스의 반대편의 상기 슬리브의 단부를 지지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파이프 구획의 시험 및 차단장치.
