Claims (6)
- 케이스에 가려져 화상광이 투사될 수 없는, 주변부에 비표시영역과 그 외의 중앙부에 표시영역이 마련되는 전면판;상기 전면판의 저면에 소정 패턴으로 상호 평행하게 형성되는 복수 개의 제 1 전극을 구비하는 제 1 전극층;상기 전면판과 소정 간격 이격되도록 가장자리가 접합되는 것으로, 상기 전면판과 대응하는 주변부에 비표시영역과 그 외의 중앙부에 표시영역이 마련되는 기판;상기 기판의 상면에 소정 패턴으로 상호 평행하게 형성되는 복수 개의 제 2 전극을 구비하는 제 2 전극층;상기 각 제 2 전극과 기판의 표시영역 사이에 위치하며, 상기 제 2 전극에 매립될 수 있도록 그 폭이 제 2 전극의 폭보다 좁게 형성된 반사막;상기 제 1 전극층의 아래와 제 2 전극층의 위에 각각 코팅되는 제 1 및 제 2 배향막; 및상기 제 1 및 제 2 배향막 사이에 주입되는 액정층;을 구비하고,상기 반사막은 상기 기판의 비표시영역을 제외하고 상기 표시영역에만 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 전면판과 제 1 전극층의 사이에 소정 패턴으로 상호 평행하게 형성되는 복수 개의 적, 녹, 청색의 단위필터를 구비하는 칼라필터층을 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 반사형 액정 표시장치는 상기 각 단위필터와 전면판 사이에 위치하며, 상기 단위필터에 매립될 수 있도록 그 폭이 단위필터의 폭보다 좁게 형성된 투명층을 더 구비하고, 상기 투명층과 겹쳐지는 단위필터의 일 부분은 상기 투명층과 겹쳐지지 않는 단위필터의 다른 일 부분보다 두께가 상대적으로 얇은 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제 2 항 또는 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 전극은 단위필터와 서로 수직하고, 상기 제 2 전극은 단위필터와 일대일 대응되도록 평행하게 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 일 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 전극은 투명한 ITO 전극이고, 상기 반사막은 금속막인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 반사막은 은, 은 합금, 알루미늄, 및 알루미늄 합금으로 된 군(群) 가운데 하나를 소재로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
