Abstract
반응성 염료를 포함하는 새로운 염모제와 그 제조방법이 개시된다. 이러한 본 발명의 염모제는 점증제, 침투제 및 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따른 반응성 염모제 조성물은 산성조건에서 염료의 반응기와 헤어케라틴의 반응기가 화학반응을 하여 공유결합을 형성하여 헤어케라틴을 염색한다. 피부자극성이 없고, 사용이 비교적 간편하다. 또한 발색력이 우수하고, 다양한 색상을 표현할 수 있다. 또한 수세성이 좋고, 비교적 긴 지속력을 갖는다.

Description
본 발명은 염모제 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 특히 반응성 염료를 포함하는 염모제에 관한 것이다.
염모제는 모발의 색상을 인위적으로 변화시키기 위해 이용되는 것으로서, 최근에는 백모나 새치의 염색을 넘어 외모를 보다 매력적으로 표현하는 수단으로 이용되고 있다. 염모제는 약 4,000년 전에 이집트인들에 의해 헤나 또는 카모마일이라 불리는 식물에서 추출된 염색제를 사용하여 머리카락을 염색한 이래로 다양한 종류의 염모제가 개발되었다.
최근에 일반적으로 사용되는 염모제는 지속성의 관점에서 크게 영구염모제와 반영구염모제로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 영구 염모제는 염료가 모발의 가장 바깥 층인 모소피를 지나 모피질과 모수질에까지 침투하여 염색되는 것으로 염색의 효과가 장기간에 걸쳐 지속되지만, 반영구염모제는 염색효과가 어느 정도 지속되지만 머리를 감을 때마다 조금씩 탈색이 된다.
영구염모제로는 산화염모제와 비산화염모제가 있으며, 그 중 비교적 긴 지속성을 갖는 산화염모제가 주로 이용되고 있다. 산화염모제는 염료 제1중간체, 제2중간체, 산화방지제, 알칼리제, 계면활성제 등으로 이루어져 있으며, 통상 파우더, 크림 또는 액상 타입으로 제공된다. 산화염모제는 머리카락내부로 침투한 무색의 염료 전구체(precursor)가 과산화수소에 의한 산화커플링 반응으로 색을 나타내는 것이며 머리카락이 자라 탈락될 때까지 색을 유지한다. 약제의 구성을 보면 1제와 2제로 되어있으며 1제는 알카리제인 암모니아와 산화염료 중간체로 구성되어 있고 2제는 과산화수소로 구성되어 있어서 이를 혼합하여 사용한다. 1제의 알칼리제는 모표피를 팽윤, 연화시켜 산화염료와 2제의 과산화수소가 모발내부인 모피질에 침투할 수 있게 해 주고 모피질에 도달한 과산화수소가 모발내의 기존 색소를 탈색시켜 줌과 동시에 1제의 산화염료를 안료화하여 색을 발현하게 하여 염색을 완료시킨다. 즉, 산화제와 알카리제가 반응을 하면 발생기 산소가 나와 모발속의 멜라닌(Melanin) 색소를 탈색시키고, 산화염료 중간체에 작용하면 수용성인 저분자의 산화염료 중간체가 산화되어 발색이 되면서 색소입자가 축합하여 고분자의 불용성 입자가 되어 염착하게 되는 것이다. 이 때 팽윤, 연화된 모표피는 세정이나 마찰에 의하여 손상되며 머릿결은 광택을 잃게 되어 미관에 부정적인 영향을 준다. 또한 알칼리제인 암모니아와 산화제인 과산화수소는 두피 및 피부를 손상시키고 저분자량의 산화염료 중간체는 파라페닐렌디아민과 아닐린 유도체가 주성분으로 사용되는 데 피부를 자극하여 가려움 및 알러지를 유발하는 것으로 보고된 바 있다. 최종 색상은 산화된 염료 전구체인 디이민과 커플러의 결합에 의해 결정되며 디이민의 가 수분해, 산화, 그리고 고분자화 정도에 따라 영향을 받으므로 색상 예측이 힘들며 대개 경험에 의해 결정된다. 또한 큐티클 내부에 침투되어 염색조건에서 미쳐 산화되지 않은 산화염료 중간체가 공기 중의 산소에 의해 지속적으로 산화되므로 색상 변화를 일으킨다.
반영구 염모제는 주로 산성 염료를 염모 성분으로 사용하고 있기 때문에, 산성 염모제라고도 한다. 산성 염료는 알칼리제나 산화제를 포함하지 않으므로 두피나 모발 손상이 상대적으로 적은 반면, 지속성이 낮아서 염색을 자주 해야하는 불편이 있다. 산성 염모제는 분자량이 300~900 정도의 산성 염료를 벤질알콜 등의 용제를 이용해서 모발 내로 침투시켜, 단백질과 이온 결합을 형성하는 것으로 염료를 모발 내에 머무르게 하는 것이다. 그 때 모발의 등전점 이하까지 pH 를 내려 모발 내에 플러스 전하를 갖은 염착부위를 증가시키는 것에 의해 염색성을 향상시킨다. 하지만 염료의 침투영역은 코텍스의 외측근방에 한정되어 세발을 거듭하는 것에 의해 점점 염료가 유출되고, 통상 2~3주만에 퇴색한다.
본 발명은 위와 같은 종래 기술의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 안출된 것으로서, 인체에 유해한 성분의 사용을 최대한 배제하여 피부나 모발의 손상이 최소화되고 사용이 용이한 염모제 조성물을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 상술한 염모제 조성물을 제조하는 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 목적에 따른 염모제 조성물은, 점증제, 침투제 및 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료를 포함한다.
구체적으로는 점증제 1 내지 10 중량%, 침투제 1 내지 20 중량%, 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료 0.01 내지 5 중량%을 포함하고, 잔부는 물일 수 있다.
또한, pH 조절제를 1 내지 5 중량%를 더 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 바람직하게는 헤어케라틴의 -S-S-결합을 환원시키는 환원제를 더 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적에 따른 염모제 조성물 제조방법은, (1) 잔부가 물이고, 적어도 점증제 1 내지 10 중량%를 포함하는 균일 혼합물을 형성하는 단계, (2) 균일 혼합물에 침투제 1 내지 20 중량%를 추가하여 적어도 점증제 및 침투제를 포함하는 베이스액을 형성하는 단계, (3) 베이스액에 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료 0.01 내지 5 중량%를 혼합하는 단계를 포함한다.
바람직하게 균일 혼합물을 형성하는 단계에서, pH 조절제 1 내지 5 중량%를 더 포함시킬 수 있다.
또한, (1) 내지 (3) 단계 중의 어느 하나의 단계에서 헤어케라틴의 -S-S-결합을 환원시키는 환원제를 더 포함시킬 수 있다.
이하에서 본 발명을 보다 더 상세하게 설명한다.
본 발명은 비닐설폰반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료를 이용하는 새로운 염모제 조성물과 그 제조방법으로서, 피부자극성이 없고, 발색력 및 지속력이 우수하며, 다양한 색상을 표현할 수 있다. 본 발명에 따른 반응성 염모제 조성물은, 바람직하게는 산성조건에서, 염료의 반응기와 헤어케라틴의 반응기가 화학반응을 하여 공유결합을 형성함으로써 헤어케라틴을 염색한다. 본 발명은 수세성이 우수할 뿐 아니라 내광도 매우 우수하고 염색 후에도 머릿결 손상이 거의 없다.
본 발명의 염모제 조성물은 기본적으로 비닐설폰반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료, 점증제, 침투제를 포함한다. 그외 잔부는 물이며, 다른 성분들을 균일하게 혼합하기 위한 용제가 함께 포함될 수 있다. 또한 본 발명의 염모제 조성물은 바람직하게는 환원제를 추가적으로 포함할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 염모제 조성물은 추가적으로 pH 조절제, 계면활성제, 보습제, 향료 및 컨디셔닝제가 추가로 포함될 수 있다.
본 발명의 영구 염색은 반응성 염료의 반응기와 헤어케라틴의 반응기가 친핵 치환 반응 또는 친핵 부가 반응에 의해 공유결합을 형성하여 발색하는 것이다. 염색이 완결된 후 염료의 색상은 동일하게 유지된다. 본 발명의 비닐설폰 반응기를 포함하는 염료를 이용한 염색 반응 메커니즘은 하기 개략적으로 나타낸 반응식과 같다.
여기서, Y는 -NH-, -NH2 또는 -SH일 수 있다.
모발은 18종의 아미노산으로 이루어진 케라틴 단백질 섬유이다. 알기닌, 리신 및 히스티딘은 아민 반응기를 포함하고 있으며, 시스틴은 환원된다면 티올 반응기를 갖는 시스테인으로 변환될 수 있다. 반응성 염료에 대한 반응성은 티올기가 아민기보다 100배 정도 높기 때문에, 본 발명의 방법에서 바람직하게는 환원제를 이용하여 시스틴을 시스테인으로 환원시킬 수 있다. 이와 같은 시스테인으로의 환원에 의해 고농도의 염색효과가 얻어질 수 있다.
본 발명에서 반응성 염료는 이용될 수 있는 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료이며, 특히 아래 화학식 1 내지 화학식 5로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있다. 따라서 이들은 단독으로, 또는 혼합하여 포함될 수 있으며, 특정한 색을 갖도록 미리 하나 이상을 혼합하여 이용될 수 있다.
이상에서 M은 H, Li 또는 Na, K일 수 있다.
이상의 본 발명에 적용되는 화학식 1 내지 화학식 5의 반응성 염료는 새롭게 개발된 염료들이며, 특히 화학식 5의 청색 반응성 염료에 대해서는 본 출원인의 특허 제10-494834호에 상세하게 설명되어 있다.
염모제용으로 이용되는 반응기를 가지는 염료들 중에서 친핵 치환보다는 친핵 부가반응이 가능한 반응기를 갖는 염료들이 더 바람직하며, 그 중에서도 특히 비닐설폰반응기가 포함된 반응성 염료가 적합하다.
비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료는 바람직하게는 0.01 ~ 5 중량%, 더 바람직하게는 0.1 ~ 1.0 중량%의 범위에서 사용된다. 0.1 중량% 미만에서는 염색 효과가 미미하고, 5 중량%를 넘어서면 경제성이 떨어지며 너무 과할 경우 오염문제 가 발생할 수도 있다.
점증제는 다당류로서 구아검, 아카시아검, 아라비아검, 잔탄검, 단백질류로서 젤라틴, 그리고 합성검으로서 폴리비닐알콜 및 셀루로즈유도체가 이용될 수 있다. 이들은 단독이나 적어도 하나 이상이 이용될 수 있다. 사용량은 1 ~ 10 중량%의 범위에서 사용되며, 점도가 너무 높거나 낮으면 모발에 사용하기가 용이하지 않게 된다.
침투제로서 방향족 알코올 및 유기용제가 사용될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 벤질알콜, 페닐에탄올, 이소프로판올, 페녹시에탄올, 페닐에틸알코올, 계피알코올, 부탄올, 레소르신, 피로카테롤, 피로가롤 및 알킬피롤리돈이 단독이나 적어도 하나 이상이 사용될 수 있다. 사용량은 1 ~ 20 중량%이며, 1 중량% 보다 낮으면 침투 효과가 미미하고, 20 중량% 보다 높으면 상분리가 일어날 수 있다.
염모제의 다른 성분들을 균일하게 혼합하기 위한 용제가 그 성분들과 함께 포함될 수 있다. 포함될 수 있는 용제로서는 탄소수 1 ~ 6의 직쇄 또는 분기쇄의 알코올 등이 가능하다. 예컨대, 메탄올, 에탄올, 프로판올, 이소프로판올, 부탄올, 에틸렌클리콜, 카비톨, 프로필알콜, 1,3-부틸렌글리콜 등을 들 수 있다. 이들은 단독 또는 적어도 하나 이상이 사용될 수 있으며, 바람직하게는 에탄올이 사용된다. 사용량은 염모료 전체량에 대해 1 ~ 20 중량%의 범위에서 사용된다.
환원제는 염색성을 향상시키기 위하여 사용될 수 있다. 여기서 환원제는 헤어케라틴의 -S-S-결합을 환원시키는 것으로서, 시스테인, 호모시스테인, N-아세틸시스테인, 티오글리콜산, 아스코르브산 등을 사용할 수 있다. 이들은 단독 또는 적 어도 하나 이상이 사용될 수 있다.
pH 조절제로 무기산 및 유기산 어느 것이라도 이용이 가능하다. 예로서, 시트르산(과일산), 숙신산, 타르타르산, 락트산(젖산), 말산, 푸마르산, 말레산, 글리콜산 등의 유기산과, 염산, 황산, 인산, 질산 등의 무기산을 들 수 있다. 이들은 단독 또는 적어도 하나 이상이 사용될 수 있으며, 바람직하게는 유기산이 이용된다. 또한, 완충능 등을 부여할 목적으로 이들 산과 이들 산의 나트륨염, 칼륨염 또는 암모늄염을 조합하여 사용할 수 있다. 사용량은 1 ~ 5 중량%의 범위 내이다.
계면활성제는 음이온으로서 알킬알릴 황산염, 라우릴 황산소다염, 라우릴 황산 트리에타놀아민염, 비이온으로서 알카놀아미드지방산에스테르, PEO 지방산알콜 및 비누로서 수용성 아민지방산 비누가 이용될 수 있다. 이들은 또한 단독 또는 적어도 하나 이상이 이용될 수 있다.
본 발명의 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료를 포함하는 염모제의 제조과정은 다음과 같다.
우선, 염모제 베이스액을 제조하는 과정을 수행한다. 염모제 베이스액 제조과정은 물과 점증제를 포함하는 균일 혼합물을 먼저 형성하고, 이후 침투제를 포함시킨다.
따라서, 실온에서 용기에 물, 점증제, 예로서 하이드록시에틸셀룰로스, 용제, 예로서 프로필렌글리콜, 및 pH 조절제를 넣고 호모게나이저를 사용하여 10분 내지 30 분간 교반한다. 여기에서와 이후에서의 교반은 예를 들어 20 내지 40 r.p.m의 속도로 교반하는 것이 적용될 수 있다.
이어, 점도를 적정하게 조절하기 위하여 점증제 예로서 잔탄검과 용제 예로서 프로필렌글리콜을 함께 추가하여 5 내지 15분간 교반한다.
계속하여, 침투제, 예로서 벤질알콜과 용제, 예로서 에탄올의 혼합액을 넣고 10 내지 30분간 교반하여 염료 베이스를 완성한다.
다음에, 염료베이스에 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료의 모액을 넣고 충분히 교반하여 염모제를 완성한다.
이외에 염료 베이스 또는 완성된 염모제에 계면활성제, 보습제, 향료, 컨디셔닝제 등을 첨가시킬 수 있다.
<실시예>
이하에서 바람직한 실시예들을 들어 본 발명을 상세하게 설명한다.
본 발명의 실시예에서는 비닐설폰 반응기를 포함하는 청색 염료를 각각 3가지(실시예 1 내지 3)를 제조하였으며, 그 조성은 하기 표 1과 같다.

전체 중량을 100으로 하여 각성분들의 중량%를 나타내며, 물은 포함된 성분 외의 잔부를 나타낸다. 또한, 실시예 2 및 3은 환원제를 사용하였으며, 실시예 2는 환원제로서 티오글리콜산을, 실시예3은 환원제로서 시스테인을 각각 사용하였다.
염색
위와 같이 제조된 실시예 1 내지 3의 염모제를 백모포(no wash tropical wool), 5급 탈색모 및 10급 탈색모에 각각 적용하였다. 실시예 1 내지 3은 비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 청색 반응성 염료를 이용하였다.
염색 과정은, 실시예 1 내지 3의 염모제를 백모포, 5급 탈색모 및 10급 탈색모에 각각 도포하고 대략 24℃인 실온과 습도 50%에서 10분간 방치하는 것이었다. 염색 후 색상과, 수세 후 및 용제추출 후의 색차를 관찰하기 위해 아래와 같은 시험을 실시하였다.
하기 시험들에서 데이터컬러(datacolor)사의 컴퓨터 컬러 매칭 시스템(Computer Color Matching System; 이하, CCM)인 스펙트럴플러쉬500(Spectralflash 500)을 이용하여 명도(L* : 0 - 100), 채도(a* : + → -, 적색→녹색), 채도(b* : + → -, 황색→청색) 값으로부터 구한 CIE 색차(ΔE)계를 이용하였다.
수세성
시험
실시예 1 내지 3을 이용하여 염색한, 백모포, 5급 탈색모 및 10급 탈색모의 수세성 시험을 하여, 수세에 따른 색상 변화를 측정하였다. 시험은 샴푸 후 건조 하는 과정을 1회와 3회 반복 각각 실시하였다.

표 2에서 알 수 있는 바와 같이, 수세 후 백모포는 거의 탈색 되지 않았고, 상대적으로 5급 탈색모보다 10급 탈색모에서 조금 더 탈색이 발생하였다. 하지만, 이는 약간 색상이 옅어지는 정도다. 환원제를 사용한 실시예 2 및 3에서 더 우수한 결과를 보여주었다. 또한, 시스테인을 사용한 실시예 3이 티오클리클산을 사용한 실시예 2보다 약간 우수한 결과를 보여주었다.

용제 추출 결과는 모발과 공유결합을 한 염료의 정도를 측정하는 것으로서, 수세의 경우보다는 색상이 많이 옅어졌지만 적용한 염료의 많은 부분이 고착되었음을 알 수 있다. 티오글리콜산를 사용한 실시예 2가 시스테인을 사용한 실시예 3 보다 조금 더 많이 탈색되었다.

비교예
이하에서는 본 발명에 따른 비닐설폰 반응기를 갖는 반응성 염료에 있어서 오렌지색(실시예 4) 및 주황색(실시예 5)를 제조하였고, 그를 산성염료(비교예)와 비교 시험하였다.
비교 시험은 상술한 바와 마찬가지로, 백모포에 염색한 후 수세성 시험 및 용제 추출 시험을 통해 CIE 색차(ΔE)계를 이용하여 평가하였다.

수세성 시험이나 용제 추출 시험에 모두 있어서, 본 발명에 따른 실시예 4 및 5와 같이 반응성 염료가 모발과 공유결합을 한 경우가 비교예인 산성 염모제에 비해 색상 변화가 훨씬 적었다. 이는 본 발명의 실시예 3 및 4가 비교예에 비해 발색력 및 지속력이 우수함을 나타낸다는 것을 의미한다.
특히, 비교예의 시판용 검정색 산성 염모제 매니큐어의 경우에는 용제 추출 후 염색된 색상이 거의 탈색된 결과를 보여 주었다. 백모포의 경우에는 색상이 조금 남아 있기는 하였으나, 블랙 색상이 아닌 옅은 푸른색으로 탈색되었고, 여기에 데이터를 기재하지는 않았지만 백모포가 아닌 모발에 대해서는 거의 탈색되어 염색 전 색상에 가까웠다.
본 발명은 비닐설폰반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료를 이용하는 새로운 염모제와 그 제조방법은, 유해 방향족 아민을 사용하지 않기 때문에 피부자극성이 없고, 염색 후 모발 손상이 없다. 또한 기존의 영구염모제에 비해 사용이 비교적 간편하다. 또한 수세성이 좋고 발색력이 우수하며, 다양한 색상을 표현할 수 있다. 또한 비교적 긴 지속력을 갖는다.
Claims (3)
- 염모제 조성물로서:점증제 1 내지 10 중량%;침투제 1 내지 20 중량%;비닐설폰 반응기를 가지는 반응성 염료 0.01 내지 5 중량%; 및잔부는 물을 포함하고,상기 반응성 염료는 하기 화학식 3으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 염모제 조성물.[화학식 3]
여기서, M은 알칼리 금속이온으로 H, Li, Na 또는 K이다. - 청구항 1에 있어서,pH 조절제를 1 내지 5 중량%를 더 포함하는 염모제 조성물.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,헤어케라틴의 -S-S-결합을 환원시키는 환원제를 더 포함하는 염모제 조성물.
