Claims (15)
- 코팅된 스트랩(coated strap)을 제조하는 방법으로서,제 1 측부와 제 2 측부 및 대향하는 가장자리(opposing edge)를 구비하는 금속 스트랩(metal strap)을 제공하는 단계와,코팅 장치를 통과하는 이동 경로를 따라 상기 스트랩을 이동시키는 단계와,상기 스트랩의 상기 제 1 측부에 에폭시 물질, 폴리에스테르 또는 우레탄 중에서 선택되는 분말을 도포함으로써, 상기 분말이 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 1 측부와 상기 대향하는 가장자리에 도포되는 단계와,상기 스트랩의 상기 제 2 측부에 상기 분말을 도포함으로써, 상기 분말이 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 2 측부와 상기 대향하는 가장자리에 도포되는 단계와,상기 스트랩을 코팅하는 흐를 수 있는 물질(flowable material)을 형성하기 위해, 상기 분말을 용융시키는 단계와,용융된 물질이 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 1 측부와 상기 제 2 측부 및 상기 대향하는 가장자리(opposing edge)에 자유롭게 흐르도록 하여 상기 스트랩의 측면 상에 용융된 물질이 균일하게 도포되는 단계와,상기 스트랩 상에 상기 용융된 물질이 균일하게 도포된 후, 상기 스트랩 위에 상기 흐를 수 있는 물질을 경화시키는 단계와,상기 스트랩을 냉각시키는 단계와,상기 스트랩을 저장 부재(storage member)에 감는 단계를 포함하며;상기 스트랩에 잠열(latent heat)이 있게 하고, 상기 흐를 수 있는 물질을 형성하도록 상기 분말을 용융시키기 위해 상기 스트랩의 상기 잠열을 이용하는 단계를 포함하는;코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 위를 향한 수직 방향으로 상기 코팅 장치를 통해 상기 스트랩을 이동시키는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 스트랩이 수직으로 위를 향한 방향으로 이동할 때 최상 지점(uppermost point)으로부터만 상기 스트랩을 지지하는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 분말은 정전기적 도포 공정(electrostatic application process)을 이용하여 도포되는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 우선 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 1 측부에 상기 분말을 도포하고, 이어서 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 2 측부에 상기 분말을 도포하는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 1 측부에 상기 분말을 도포하는 단계는 상기 대향하는 가장자리에 인접한 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 2 측부에 상기 분말을 도포하는 것을 포함하고, 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 2 측부에 상기 분말을 도포하는 단계는 상기 대향하는 가장자리에 인접한 상기 스트랩의 상기 제 1 측부에 상기 분말을 도포하는 것을 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 스트랩 위에 있는 상기 분말과 함께 상기 스트랩을 가열시키는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 스트랩을 가열시키기 위해 오븐을 제공하는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 오븐 내의 복수의 개별적인 가열 구역에서 상기 스트랩을 가열시키는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 분말을 상기 스트랩에 도포하기 전에 담금질 배쓰(quench bath)에서 상기 스트랩을 냉각시키는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 10항에 있어서, 상기 냉각 단계는 상기 스트랩의 온도를 54℃(130℉) 미만으로 감소시키는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 삭제
- 제 2항에 있어서, 냉각시키기 위해 위를 향한 수직 배향으로 9.14 미터(30 피트)의 거리로 상기 스트랩을 향하게 하는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 13항에 있어서, 상기 저장 부재에 상기 스트랩을 감기 전에, 위를 향한 수직 배향으로부터 아래를 향한 배향으로 상기 스트랩의 방향을 재설정하는 단계를 포함하는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서, 크라우닝된 풀리(crowned pulley)를 사용해서 상기 스트랩의 방향이 재설정되는, 코팅된 스트랩 제조 방법.
