Claims (9)
- 제 1 및 제 2 편광층 (120, 120) 을 각각 포함하는 제 1 및 제 2 편광막 (101, 105) 을 구비하는 편광막 쌍으로서,상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 은 상기 제 1 편광층 (120) 과 상기 제 2 편광막 (105) 사이에 배치된 제 1 지연막 (119) 과 결합되며, 상기 제 1 지연막 (119) 은 복굴절 특성, 0 내지 10 nm 의 면내방향 지연 및 0 내지 35 nm 의 두께방향 지연을 가지고,상기 제 2 편광막 (105) 은 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 과 상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 사이에 배치된 제 2 및 제 3 지연막 (118, 117) 과 결합되고,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 은, 복굴절 특성, 35 내지 245 nm 의 면내방향 지연, 제 1 굴절율 (n1) < 제 2 굴절율 (n2) 인 제 1 면내방향 광축의 제 1 굴절율 (n1) 및 제 2 면내방향 광축의 제 2 굴절율 (n2) 을 가지며, 상기 제 2 광축은 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 의 흡수축과 평행하거나 직교하고,상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 은, 복굴절 특성, 0 내지 15 nm 의 면내방향 지연, 50 내지 123 nm 의 두께방향 지연, 양의 단일축 광학 특성, 및 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 에 직교하는 광축을 가지는, 편광막 쌍.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 지연막 (119) 은 0 내지 7 nm 의 면내방향 지연 및 0 내지 17 nm 의 두께방향 지연 (ni1) 을 가지고,상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 은 0 내지 10 nm 의 면내방향 지연 및 두께방향 지연 (nc1) 을 가지며, 관계식:57.0-0.23×ni1+0.11×ni12 ≤ nc1 ≤ 120.0-0.42×ni1-0.08×nil2을 유지하는, 편광막 쌍.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 은 제 1 보호층 (121) 을 가지고,상기 제 1 지연막 (119) 과 상기 제 1 보호층 (121) 은 그 사이에 상기 제 1 편광층 (120) 을 샌드위치하고,상기 제 2 편광막 (105) 은 제 2 보호층 (124) 을 가지고,상기 제 2 및 제 3 지연막 (118, 117) 과 상기 제 2 보호층 (124) 은 그 사이에 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 을 샌드위치하는, 편광막 쌍.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 은 상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 보다 상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 에 더 가깝게 배치되는, 편광막 쌍.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 은 상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 보다 상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 으로부터 더 멀게 배치되는, 편광막 쌍.
- 균질배향된 액정 (LC) 층 (103);상기 LC 층 (103) 을 그 사이에 샌드위치하여 LC 셀을 형성하는 제 1 및 제 2 기판 (102, 104); 및상기 LC 셀을 그 사이에 샌드위치하고 제 1 및 제 2 편광층 (120, 120) 을 각각 포함하는 제 1 및 제 2 편광막 (101, 105) 을 구비하며,상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 은 상기 제 1 편광층 (120) 과 상기 제 2 편광막 (105) 사이에 배치된 제 1 지연막 (119) 과 결합되며, 상기 제 1 지연막 (119) 은 복굴절 특성, 0 내지 10 nm 의 면내방향 지연, 및 0 내지 35 nm 의 두께방향 지연을 가지고,상기 제 2 편광막 (105) 은 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 과 상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 사이에 배치된 제 2 및 제 3 지연막 (118, 117) 과 결합되고,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 은 복굴절 특성, 35 내지 245 nm 의 면내방향 지연, 제 1 굴절율 (n1) < 제 2 굴절율 (n2) 인 제 1 면내방향 광축의 제 1 굴절율 (n1) 및 제 2 면내방향 광축의 제 2 굴절율 (n2) 을 가지며, 상기 제 2 광축은 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 의 흡수축과 평행하거나 직교하고,상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 은, 복굴절 특성, 0 내지 15 nm 의 면내방향 지연, 50 내지 123 nm 의 두께방향 지연, 양의 단일축 광학 특성, 및 상기 제 2 편광층 (120) 에 직교하는 광축을 가지는, 액정 디스플레이 (LCD) 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 의 상기 제 1 면내방향 광축은 상기 균질배향된 LC 층 (103) 의 광축과 평행하거나 직교하는, LCD 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 은 상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 보다 상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 에 더 가깝게 배치되며, 상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 의 상기 제 1 면내방향 광축은 상기 균질배향된 LC 층 (103) 의 상기 광축에 직교하는, LCD 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 은 상기 제 3 지연막 (117) 보다 상기 제 1 편광막 (101) 으로부터 더 멀게 배치되며, 상기 제 2 지연막 (118) 의 상기 제 1 면내방향 광축은 상기 균질배향된 LC 층 (103) 의 상기 광축과 평행한, LCD 장치.
