Description
Claims (13)
- 복수개의 기록층을 갖는 정보 기록 매체에 기록 정보를 기록하기 위한 정보 기록 장치로서,상기 기록 정보를 상기 복수개의 기록층에 기록할 수 있는 기록 디바이스;상기 복수개의 기록층 중 하나의 기록층에 기록된 상기 기록 정보의 종단에, 제1 경계 정보 또는 상기 제1 경계 정보보다 적은 기록 용량을 갖는 제2 경계 정보를 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하는 제어 디바이스; 및상기 하나의 기록층에서의 데이터 영역의 빈 용량을 검출하는 검출 디바이스를 포함하며,상기 제어 디바이스는, 상기 검출된 빈 용량이 제1 임계값 이상인 경우에는 상기 제1 경계 정보를 상기 종단에 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하고, 상기 검출된 빈 용량이 상기 제1 임계값 미만인 경우에는 상기 제2 경계 정보의 전부 또는 일부를 (i)상기 종단과 (ii)상기 데이터 영역의 외주측 상에 형성된 중간 영역의 개시 위치의 사이에 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 임계값이 상기 제1 경계 정보의 기록 용량과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제어 디바이스는, 상기 검출된 빈 용량이 상기 제1 임계값보다 작은 제2 임계값 미만인 경우에, 상기 제1 경계 정보를 상기 하나의 기록층의 데이터 영역의 빈 영역과 상기 복수개의 기록층 중 다른 기록층의 데이터 영역에 걸쳐 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 제2 임계값이 상기 제2 경계 정보의 기록 용량과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 장치.

- 복수개의 기록층을 갖는 정보 기록 매체에 대하여, 기록 정보를 상기 복수개의 기록층에 기록할 수 있는 기록 디바이스를 구비하는 정보 기록 장치의 정보 기록 방법으로서,상기 복수개의 기록층 중 하나의 기록층에 기록된 상기 기록 정보의 종단에, 제1 경계 정보 또는 상기 제1 경계 정보보다 적은 기록 용량을 갖는 제2 경계 정보를 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하는 제어 공정; 및상기 하나의 기록층에서의 데이터 영역의 빈 용량을 검출하는 검출 공정을 포함하며,상기 제어 공정은, 상기 검출된 빈 용량이 제1 임계값 이상인 경우에는 상기 제1 경계 정보를 상기 종단에 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하고, 상기 검출된 빈 용량이 상기 제1 임계값 미만인 경우에는 상기 제2 경계 정보의 전부 또는 일부가 (i)상기 종단과 (ii)상기 데이터 영역의 외주측 상에 형성된 중간 영역의 개시 위치의 사이에 기록하도록 상기 기록 디바이스를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 방법.

- 제1항에 있어서,상기 정보 기록 매체는 2개의 기록층을 구비하며,상기 기록 디바이스는, 상기 2개의 기록층 중에서 광이 조사되는 측의 하나의 기록층에서 내주측으로부터 외주측으로 상기 기록 정보를 순서대로 기록하고, 상기 2개의 기록층 중에서 광이 조사되는 측의 뒤쪽의 다른 하나의 기록층에서 내주측으로부터 외주측으로 상기 기록 정보를 순서대로 기록하는 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 하나의 기록층은 광 조사 측의 기록층인 것을 특징으로 하는 정보 기록 장치.
