Claims (5)
- 한 프레임기간을 다수의 서브필드들로 시분할하여 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널을 구동하는 장치에 있어서,상기 다수의 서브필드들 중에서 일부 서브필드의 리셋기간 동안 하강램프파형만 공급하도록 하는 스캔전압구동부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 하강램프파형은기저전압에서 스캔전압까지 하강하는 램프파형인 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동장치.
- 셀을 초기화하기 위한 리셋기간, 셀을 어드레싱하기 위한 어드레스기간 및 방전을 유지하기 위한 서스테인기간으로 구분되는 다수의 서브필드로 분할되어 구동되는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널을 구동하는 장치에 있어서,어드레스전극들에 데이터를 공급하기 위한 데이터구동부;스캔전극들을 구동하기 위한 스캔구동부; 및공통전극인 서스테인전극을 구동하기 위한 서스테인구동부를 포함하고,상기 스캔구동부는 상기 리셋기간 동안 일정 기울기를 가지는 제 1 상승램프파형과, 제 1 상승램프파형보다 크기가 작은 제 2 상승램프파형과, 제 1 및 제 2 상승램프파형으로부터 스캔전극에 공급되는 부극성 스캔전압까지 하강하는 제 1 하강램프파형 및 기저전압에서 스캔전압까지 하강하는 제 2 하강램프파형을 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 각 구동부를 제어하기 위한 타이밍콘트롤러; 및 상기 각 구동부에 구동전압을 공급하기 위한 구동전압 발생부를 더 포함하고,상기 구동전압 발생부는상기 제 1 및 제 2 상승램프파형과 상기 제 1 및 제 2 하강램프파형을 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동장치.
- 셀을 초기화하기 위한 리셋기간, 셀을 어드레싱하기 위한 어드레스기간, 방전을 유지하기 위한 서스테인기간으로 구분되는 다수의 서브필드로 분할되어 구동되는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널을 구동하는 방법에 있어서,상기 서브필드 중 적어도 하나의 리셋기간 동안 기저전압에서 스캔전극에 공급되는 부극성 스캔전압까지 하강하는 하강램프파형만 공급되는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동방법.
