Claims (11)
- 게이트 버스라인과 데이타 버스라인이 교차배열되어 단위화소가 한정되고, 상기 단위화소 내에는 투명도체를 이용한 통전극 형태의 공통전극과 투명도체를 이용한 슬릿 형태의 화소전극이 절연층을 사이에 두고 오버랩되게 배치되어 있는 하부 박막트랜지스터 기판이 액정을 개재시켜 컬러필터 기판과 합착되어 구성된 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 화소전극의 슬릿은 게이트 버스라인 방향을 따라 경사져서 연장되며, 상기 게이트 버스라인 방향을 따라 3분할되되, 3분할된 슬릿 부분들 중에서 양쪽 가장자리에 배치된 슬릿 부분들은 가운데 배치된 슬릿 부분 보다 게이트 버스라인을 기준으로 큰 슬릿 각도를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 가운데 부분의 슬릿은 상기 게이트 버스라인을 기준으로 5∼20°각도를 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 양쪽 가장자리 부분의 슬릿은 상기 가운데 부분의 슬릿보다 4∼20°각도만큼 더 크게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 하부 박막트랜지스터 기판에 배치된 제 1편광판과, 칼라필터 기판에 배치된 제 2편광판을 더 추가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 제1편광판의 투과축과 상기 제 2편광판의 투과축이 서로 수직을 이루도록 배치되고, 제1편광판의 투과축 및 제 2편광판의 투과축 중 어느 하나가 기판의 러빙방향과 일치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정은, 유전율 이방성이 양인 경우, 상기 게이트버스라인에 평행한 방향으로 러빙처리된 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정은, 유전율 이방성이 음인 경우, 데이터버스라인에 평행한 방향으로 배열되도록 러빙처리된 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 양쪽 가장자리 부분의 슬릿 각도는 서로 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 게이트 버스라인과 데이타 버스라인이 교차배열되어 단위화소가 한정되고, 상기 단위화소 내에는 투명도체를 이용한 통전극 형태의 공통전극과 투명도체를 이용한 슬릿 형태의 화소전극이 절연층을 사이에 두고 오버랩되게 배치되며, 상기 단위화소의 중심을 지나도록 공통 버스라인이 배열되어 있는 하부 박막트랜지스터 기판이 액정을 개재시켜 컬러필터 기판과 합착되어 구성된 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 화소전극의 슬릿은 게이트 버스라인 방향을 따라 연장하고 상기 공통 버스 라인을 기준으로 2분할되어 서로 대칭되게 경사진 형상을 가지면서, 상기 게이트 버스라인 방향을 따라 3분할되되, 3분할된 슬릿 부분들 중에서 양쪽 가장자리에 배치된 슬릿 부분들은 가운데 배치된 슬릿 부분 보다 게이트 버스라인을 기준으로 큰 슬릿 각도를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 가운데 부분의 슬릿은 상기 게이트 버스라인을 기준으로 5∼20°각도를 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 양쪽 가장자리 부분의 슬릿은 상기 가운데 부분의 슬릿보다 4∼20°각도만큼 더 크게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지필드구동 액정표시장치.
