이들 중에서 본 발명이 대상으로 삼는 붕산아연은 난연성이 가장 우수한 2·3형인 것이다(이하, 이 2·3형인 것은 간략히 붕산아연이라고 부름).

결정의 X선 회절에서는 하기의 Bragg의 식(수학식 1)을 만족할 때, 간섭에 강도 피크가 나타나는 것이 알려져 있으며, 이 간섭 피크의 예리함과 결정의 크기와의 사이에도 하기의 Scherrer의 식(수학식 2)으로 나타내어지는 관계가 있다.

Claims (11)
- 하기 화학식 1로 나타내어지는 화학적 조성을 갖는 붕산아연으로서,X선 회절(Cu-kα)에서 면 지수 (020), (101) 및 (200)의 회절 피크로부터 구한 결정자(crystallite) 크기가 40.0 nm 이상이고, 원자 흡광법으로 측정한 나트륨 성분의 함유량이 100 ppm 이하이며,주사형 전자현미경 사진으로 측정시 개개의 입자가 독립적인 마름모형 육면체이고, 각 입자의 한 변의 길이가 0.3 내지 7.0 ㎛의 범위에 있는 것인 붕산아연:[화학식 1]2ZnO·mB2O3·xH2O식에서, m은 2.8 내지 3.2의 수이며, x는 4 이하의 수이다.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서, 면 지수 (020), (101) 및 (200)의 회절 피크로부터 구한 결정자 크기의 곱이 200,000 nm3 이상인 붕산아연.
- 제1항에 있어서, 레이저 회절법으로 구한 체적 기준 중앙값(median) 직경이 1.0 내지 6.0 ㎛의 범위인 붕산아연.
- 아연화(zinc flower)와 붕산을 화학양론비로 40∼75℃에서 반응시켜 붕산아연의 미세 결정체를 형성하고, 필요에 따라 숙성(aging)을 한 후, 70∼120℃로 반응를 유지하여 결정을 성장시키는 것인 붕산아연의 제조 방법.
- 제1항의 붕산아연을 포함하는 난연제 내지 난연 보조제.
- 제1항의 붕산아연을 포함하는 연기 억제제.
- 제1항의 붕산아연을 포함하는 항박테리아제.
- 제1항의 붕산아연을 포함하는 물유리 경화제.
- 열가소성 수지 및/또는 열경화성 수지와 붕산아연을 함유하는 수지 조성물로서,붕산아연이 하기 화학식 1로 나타내어지는 화학적 조성을 가지며, X선 회절(Cu-kα)에서 면 지수 (020), (101) 및 (200)의 회절 피크로부터 구한 결정자 크기가 40.0 nm 이상이며, 원자 흡광법으로 측정한 나트륨 성분의 함유량이 100 ppm 이하이며, 주사형 전자현미경 사진으로 측정시 개개의 입자가 독립적인 마름모형 육면체이고, 각 입자의 한 변의 길이가 0.3 내지 7.0 ㎛의 범위에 있는 것인 수지 조성물:[화학식 1]2ZnO·mB2O3·xH2O식에서, m은 2.8 내지 3.2의 수이며, x는 4 이하의 수이다.
- 제10항에 있어서, 수지 100 중량부당 붕산아연이 1 내지 150 중량부의 양으로 함유되는 것인 수지 조성물.
