Claims (9)
- 외부로부터 입력되는 구동 데이터 및 구동 제어신호로써 이미지 데이터와 데이터 제어신호 및 게이트 제어신호를 생성하는 신호처리부,외부로부터 제공되는 구동 전원으로써 복수의 정전압들을 생성하는 DC 레벨 제어부와, 상기 DC 레벨 제어부에서 제공되는 정전압으로 계조전압들 및 게이트 온/오프 전압을 생성하는 계조 발생부 및 게이트 온/오프 전압 발생부와, 상기 DC 레벨 제어부에서 상기 계조 발생부로 공급되는 전류의 양을 센싱하여 백라이트 제어신호를 출력하는 백라이트 제어신호 발생 수단을 구비하는 전원부,상기 이미지 데이터와 상기 데이터 제어신호 및 상기 계조전압들로 데이터 신호를 생성하는 데이터 구동부,상기 게이트 제어신호와 상기 게이트 온/오프 전압으로써 게이트 신호를 생성하는 게이트 구동부,상기 데이터 신호와 상기 게이트 신호로써 소정 화면을 표시하는 액정패널, 및직류 레벨의 인버터 구동 전원을 소정 주파수를 갖는 교류 전원으로 변환하여 램프로 제공하며, 상기 백라이트 제어신호의 레벨에 비례하여 상기 램프로 공급되는 전류의 양을 변환시켜서 컨트라스트를 조절하는 백라이트 유니트를 포함하는 액정표시장치.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 백라이트 제어신호 발생수단은,상기 DC 레벨 제어부와 상기 계조 발생부의 사이에 흐르는 전류의 양을 센싱하는 센싱 파트,상기 센싱 파트에서 센싱된 전압을 증폭하는 증폭부,상기 증폭된 출력의 레벨을 조정하면서 출력시간을 지연시키는 지연부, 및상기 지연부의 출력을 상기 백라이트 제어신호로 출력하는 버퍼를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 백라이트 유니트는,상기 백라이트 제어신호와 인버터 구동 전원을 입력받아서 인버터 제어신호를 생성하는 인버터 제어부,상기 인버터 제어신호에 의하여 출력 전류의 양이 결정되어서 상기 인버터 구동 전원을 소정 주파수를 갖는 교류 전원으로 변환하여 출력하는 AC 변환부, 및상기 AC 변환부에서 출력되는 교류 전원으로 발광하는 상기 램프를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 백라이트 제어신호 발생수단으로부터 출력되는 상기 백라이트 제어신호와 외부로부터 도입되는 백라이트 제어신호 중 어느 하나를 선택하여 상기 인버터 제어부로 인가하는 스위치를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 인버터 제어신호는 진폭 변조 방식의 신호로써 상기 백라이트 제어신호의 직류 레벨에 따라서 진폭의 스케일이 가변됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 인버터 제어신호는 펄스폭 변조 방식의 신호로써 상기 백라이트 제어신호의 직류 레벨에 따라서 듀티의 스케일이 가변됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널에 디스플레이되는 화면은 노멀리 블랙 모드로 형성됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널에 디스플레이되는 화면은 노멀리 화이트 모드로 형성됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
