Claims (11)
- 다수의 화소들을 포함하여 영상을 표시하는 픽셀회로부와;상기 픽셀회로부에 데이터신호를 공급하는 데이터구동부와;상기 픽셀회로부에 스캔신호를 공급하는 스캔구동부와;상기 픽셀회로부의 흑백 전이정도를 검출하는 흑백전이 검출부와;상기 데이터구동부에 감마값을 제공하여 데이터신호의 크기를 조절하는 감마보정부와;상기 데이터구동부와 상기 스캔구동부에 제어신호를 인가하며 상기 흑백전이 검출부로부터 상기 흑백 전이정도를 제공받아 상기 흑백 전이정도에 따라 상기 감마보정부에 보정된 감마 제어신호를 제공하는 타이밍 컨트롤러를 포함하는 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 화소들은 유기전계발광소자들인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 흑백전이 검출부는 상기 픽셀회로부에 의해 표시되는 영상 데이터를 분석하여 상기 흑백 전이정도를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 흑백 전이 검출부는 영상 데이터의 수평방향의 총합을 계산한 후 수직방향으로 특정 기준값의 초과 횟수를 판단하여 상기 흑백 전이정도를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 흑백 전이 검출부의 특정 기준값이 다수인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 감마보정부는 상기 데이터구동부에 존재하는 디지털 감마부인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 화면에 영상을 출력하는 영상 출력단계와;상기 화면에 출력되는 영상의 흑백 전이정도를 검출하는 흑백 전이 검출단계와;상기 흑백 전이정도에 따라 보정된 감마값을 적용하여 상기 화면에 출력되는 영상의 휘도를 조절하는 휘도 조절단계와;휘도가 조절된 영상을 화면에 출력하는 영상 재출력단계를 포함하는 표시장치의 동적 감마 적용방법.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 영상 출력단계와 상기 영상 재출력단계의 상기 영상은 유기전계발광소자들에 의해 화면에 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 동적 감마 적용방법.
- 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서,상기 흑백전이 검출부는 상기 픽셀회로부에 의해 표시되는 영상 데이터를 분석하여 상기 흑백 전이정도를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 동적 감마 적용방법.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 흑백 전이 검출단계는 영상 데이터의 수평방향의 총합을 계산한 후 수직방향으로 특정 기준값의 초과 횟수를 판단하여 상기 흑백 전이정도를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 동적 감마 적용방법.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 흑백 전이 검출단계의 특정 기준값이 다수인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 동적 감마 적용방법.
