Description
Claims (20)
- 공중 구조물(12)로부터 선택가능한 위치에 라이트헤드(26), 모니터(28, 30), 태스크 라이트(34), 카메라 및 기타 의료 장치 중 하나 또는 그 이상을 현수하기 위한 서스펜션 시스템(10)으로서, 라이트헤드, 모니터, 카메라 및 기타 의료 장치 중 하나 또는 그 이상을 지지하도록 형성된 드롭 튜브(20)를 포함하고 있는 서스펜션 시스템(10)에 있어서,드롭 튜브를 수용하는 수용 요소(42)로서, 드롭 튜브의 말단부(22)가 수용 요소의 하단부(47) 아래로 뻗어 있도록 하고 있는, 상기 수용 요소(42);수용 요소에 의해 수용되어 드롭 튜브의 일부분(41)을 에워싸서, 수용 요소의 하단부 아래로 뻗어 있는 드롭 튜브의 길이가 변동가능하도록 수용 요소 내부에 있는 드롭 튜브의 일부분의 압축 클램핑을 유효하게 하는 칼라(48); 및공중 구조물에 수용 요소를 장착하기 위한 수단(14, 16);을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 장착을 위한 수단은 수용 요소와 견고하게 연결되고 공중 구조물에 장착하도록 형성된 장착 플레이트(14)를 포함하고 있고, 상기 장착 플레이트는 드롭 튜브의 단부가 관통하는 개구부(45)를 가지고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 수용 요소는 하단부를 향해 감소하는 내경 (D)을 가지고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 수용 요소의 내경은 전체적으로 원추대 형상인 보어(43)에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 칼라는 하단부(52)를 향해 감소하는 외경(d)을 가지고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 칼라의 외경은 수용 요소의 최소 내경보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 칼라를 수용 요소 내로 압축식으로 당겨 넣기 위해 칼라의 일부분(55) 상의 나사부에 맞추어지는 조임 너트(53)를 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 칼라는 적어도 하나의 길이방향으로 뻗어 있는 슬롯(50)을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 칼라는 복수의 길이방향으로 뻗어 있는 슬롯을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 슬롯은 외력이 칼라에 작용할 때 반경방향 내측으로 구부려지는 가요성 스트립(49)을 형성하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 드롭 튜브는 전체적으로 균일한 외경의 실린더를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 드롭 튜브의 하단부에 배치된 회전가능한 스핀들(32)을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 12 항에 있어서, 회전가능한 스핀들에 부착되고, 적어도 하나의 조절가능한 조인트(36) 및 라이트헤드, 모니터, 태스크 라이트, 카메라, 및 기타 의료 장치 중 하나를 장착하도록 되어 있는 장착용 단부(35)를 가지고 있는 관절형 아암(24)을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 수용 요소 아래로 뻗어 있는 드롭 튜브의 말단부의 길이는 상한부와 하한부 사이에서 무한히 변동가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 칼라는 대략 원추대 형상인 외부면(48a)을 가지고 있고, 원추대 형상 외부면은 수용 요소의 대략 원추대 형상 내부면(43a)과 맞물림하는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 칼라는 칼라에 압축력이 작용됨이 없이 드롭 튜브를 슬라이딩식으로 관통 수용하도록 형성된 보어를 가지고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 칼라는:수용 요소의 축선방향 보어 내로 적어도 부분적으로 압축식으로 웨지결합하고, 좁은 단부에서 끝나는 좁아지는 직경의 외부면; 및드롭 튜브를 드롭 튜브 보어 내의 선택된 지점에 고정하는 웨지결합에 대응하여 드롭 튜브를 선택된 지점에서 압축하는 내부면;을 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 서스펜션 시스템.
- 의료 장치를 지지하기 위한 드롭 튜브의 말단부의 고정면에 대한 거리를 가변적으로 조절하는 방법으로서, 고정면으로부터 수용 요소(42)를 견고하게 지지하는 단계를 포함하고 있는 방법에 있어서,수용 요소의 보어(43) 내로 칼라(48)를 헐겁게 삽입하는 단계;수용 요소의 하단부(47) 아래로 뻗어 있는 드롭 튜브의 거리가 변동가능한 상태에서, 드롭 튜브의 단부(22)가 수용 요소 아래로 선택된 거리만큼 뻗어 있도록 칼라 내로 드롭 튜브를 삽입하는 단계; 및드롭 튜브가 수용 요소 및 칼라에 의해 압축식으로 클램핑되도록 수용 요소 보어 내로 칼라를 당겨 넣는 단계;를 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 18 항에 있어서, 보어 내로 칼라를 당겨 넣는 단계는 칼라의 일부분(55) 상에 너트(53)를 조임하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 18 항 또는 제 19 항에 있어서, 칼라는 복수의 길이방향으로 뻗어 있는 이격된 슬롯을 포함하고 있고, 보어 내로 칼라를 당겨 넣는 단계는 슬롯들 사이에 형성된 칼라의 가요성 스트립(49)을 압축시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
