- 니켈(Ni)을 주반응 촉매로, 철(Fe)을 조촉매로 사용하여, 니켈의 단물질, 혼합물 또는 합금을 비이티법(BET)으로 측정한 비표면적 100m2/g 이하를 지닌 카본블랙을 담체로 사용하여 0.1~ 60 중량%로 담지한 후, 산소를 5 체적%에서 40 체적% 함유한 질소, 알곤 및 헬륨의 혼합가스를 사용하여 섭씨 300 ~ 550 도 범위의 온도에서 산소 및 질소의 혼합물, 공기 또는 이산화탄소의 산화성 기체를 사용하여 담체인 카본블랙을 1 중량% 이하가 잔류하도록 산화한 후, 이를 수소가 5 체적%에서 40 체적%가 함유된 질소, 알곤 및 헬륨의 가스의 혼합물을 사용하여 섭씨 400도에서 섭씨 520도에서 1시간에서 48시간 동안 1회에서 3회 환원하여 니켈과 철의 합금 또는 니켈만으로 형성된 극세 섬유상 나노탄소 제조용 금속 촉매를 제조하는 방법.
- 청구항 3의 방법으로 제조한 금속 촉매를 일정량 사용하여, 에칠렌, 아세칠렌, 프로판 등의 탄소수가 2개에서 6개 함유된 포화 또는 불포화탄화수소와 수소의 혼합가스를 촉매 1밀리 그램 당 0.5~ 30 sccm (분당 도입되는 cc량)을 도입하면서 2분에서 12시간 열처리를 행하여 극세 섬유상 나노탄소를 제조하는 방법.
- 청구항 4에 있어서,탄화수소 및 수소의 혼합가스에서 수소의 분압은 0~80 체적%의 혼합가스를 사용하여 열처리 온도는 섭씨 300도에서 499도의 범위에서 열처리하여 섬유상 나노탄소를 제조하는 방법.
